Well, hello guys! Im the one stuck with a SHIT mac and I know how to do this on a mac now. But your going to have to sacrifice space from your computer. Alot of space. Here is a step by step tutorial FOR MAC
1. Go to https://www.parallels.com and click "Try Now". Write some fake email and get the program for free for 14 days.
2. When your in the program it is going to ask you to download some sort of OS. In that case, download this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO Just select any version of the windows 8 iso and then just download it. You do not need a product key don't worry.
3. Now, once that huge download has finished downloading, go into parallels and click "Download my own OS" or something like that, it has a CD Icon with a blue usb or whatever. It should automatically scan and find the OS you downloaded, or you can just manually find it yourself.
4. Once you find it, (Or your computer does) just simply click next. It might ask you for a product key, but just uncheck the product key box, and check the other one. Now you are almost done. Windows 8 is about to install on your mac. Its gonna ask you to change your language, blah blah blah, basic windows 8 stuff
5. Now once EVERYTHING IS DONE you make sure YOUR MAC is connected to the same WIRELESS NETWORK as your Wii U, or this will not work.
6. When parallels is open and finished installing windows 8 (Takes about 10 minutes) click the red pause button at the top of your mac, where the time is. And click "Configure" Now, just look for the "Network 1" or "Connections 1" tab and there will be a drop down box where you can choose what your windows 8 is connected to, because windows 8 by itself cannot connect to a wireless network on a mac. Click "Shared Network" in the drop down thingy in Network 1 and wait a few seconds.
7. Now comes the actual SPLATOON part of this haha! Launch your Wii U and AGAIN type in these two links (Wj44.ml/k31/) and (Wj44.ml/py/) and then go into loadiine on your Wii's browser. Click on TCP GECKO + Kernel with (5.5.0-5.5.1) and do the normal process, wait for your browser to crash, and then open it again quickly and load it. It should show you an IP once you get it.
8. Now! Your going to have to download tcp gecko dotnet ON WINDOWS 8 with the download link right here (http://www.mediafire.com/download/a8ix5ofcqh9xgb6/Debug.zip)
9. Once everything is downloaded, extract it to a new folder on the desktop and click on the exe. It will ask you to download an extension for the exe file, do it. (Takes about 5 minutes to install) 1
10. OKAY THIS IS THE PART WHAT EVERYONE MISSES BEFORE CONNECTING TO GECKO OPEN SPLATOON, WATCH THE NEWS AND GO TO THE PLAZA. FINALLY open the exe and type the IP in and click connect to gecko. DO NOT WORRY it should definitely take 1-9 attempts. If it does not connect, do not freak out.
11. Have fun you little hacker, make peoples time in splatoon feel like shit. Go f*** yourself ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So It still didn't work huh?
Dont you worry about a thing because it took me 3 days to figure this out, and I have come to alot of problem solving solutions.
1. The classic, restart your computer.
2. Click on the red pause button at the top of the Mac (Where the time is) and click on configure. Go to the Network 1 tab and click "Wifi" in the drop down bar. Then wait a few seconds, and try to connect to gecko again.
3. This might sound weird, but install gecko by using Google Chrome. For days Ive been trying to internet explorer to download it, but no luck (with the same options of course) and just try downloading it from google chrome. The second I did I opened the exe and it worked perfectly fine.
If you are still having problems, dont forget to write it in the comments. I will be as active as I Can. Happy hacking -Nick
