Hacking Gateway 3ds: A9LH, Downgrade, Release Planned on May 22nd

I think the time-machine app wil be geat and hopefully it's an automatially otp-dumper without todo anything by the user itself (seeems to be. The name let me think, that it swapped to 2.1, dump otp, go to last sysnad you have.
Or maybe better: Only put the emunand to 2.1 and with some magic get the otp from there, who knows ^^, that will be very nice, because it will not touch the sysnand)

It will have to be pretty simple, Gateway has incentive to make it as easy as possible (less customer support management), so the application should hopefully be interesting. Especially if they have 2.1 emunand support, that would be well worth the wait because that's a huge layer of added safety.

That's true yes, and how simplier that process is, so it will be simplier to swap to a9lh. Howerver, I'm looking forward to next sunday and then we will see, what the GW has devloped and needed that long time.

Yay I already have the a9lh setup in my gateway n3ds of this works as intended I'll ditch cfw unless they still cannot play custom dlc, that's the only thing that cfw does for me that gateway doesn't, I hope the process is very easy and automated but we should know in the coming days

Really hyped for this release! But I have a question first: I accidentally updated my 3ds to 11.0 (yea I know I shouldn't ) will I still be able to use Gateway? If you wanted to know I followed the guide from Plailect already, and have set up A9LH for really fast boots! But since not a lot of homebrew gets released that I really need I kind of want to start playing backups, so it would really help if it would work. Thanks for helping already!

only with *hax, and AFAIK , there's no standalone hack with arm9 access on 11.0

I guess it would just be a a9lh payload so it should work with updated sysnand with a9lh but we don't know

Next, exclusively for GW users, the Gateway A9LH Installer is a highly integrated GW menu app, that auto detects system and state of install, considerably simplifying the install procedure especially for the N3DS.

Once the A9LH Installer is complete the console will now boot automatically straight into GW menu within a few seconds after powerup.

Does this mean we can´t play DS/Gba/Cartridge 3DS games anymore on the 3DS we installed, because it enters Gateway mode ?

You have A9LH already, correct? If so, you have access to CFW, so you already can play backups (As .cia)

If you mean .3DS files, you should be able to once Gateway releases their A9LH compatible files. The 10.7 restriction is just because there isn't a downgrade method available for 11.0. Gateway is playing with the same restrictions that exist on free CFW.

The reason people want 2.1 Emunand support is to check if the "un-bricking" worked (For n3DS). Not to retrieve the OTP (At least, I hope that isn't what they're looking for).

So next GW feature will be to boot directly to GW mode without launching synand -> GW emunand

But what will happen to current HW launcher, CFW, and other stuff already installed once HW A9LH is set ?
I'm new to A9LH thing.
