Is there any way to hack the game into being able to play certain chapters or paralogues again? I played through the whole game, but missed a few characters due to ignorance, and I really don't want play the entire game again.
Wait, can you just overwrite dummy characters with actual characters? Is that possible with FEFTwiddler? (don't have pc access rn)If you just want the characters, a quick bit of save editing can get them for you. Check my sig for a guide on editing save files. I don't know about being able to replay chapters, but the save editing should be enough. Also, if my guide is overwhelming, a save editor exists called FEFTwiddler. Just make sure you have some dummy characters to be overwritten when you perform the editing (captured units are amazing for this).
Yes and Yes. Not officially supported yet, but the hex editor will allow you to do it. No more than a simple change is necessary. Change the character id of the dummy character to that of the character you desire and the game will register that unit as the new unit. Class changes can also be made in FEFTwiddler via the gui, no hex needed. This will work relatively well for all characters outside of Avatars, Bond Units, and children. I would recommend getting the children the normal way. As for the avatars and bond units, use logbook avatars/bond units and remove the shield.Wait, can you just overwrite dummy characters with actual characters? Is that possible with FEFTwiddler? What's the problem with children? Because I missed one or two. I accidentally let them die, not realising they wouldn't come back after the battle.Yes and Yes. Children, Avatars, and Bond units all have an extra section added to their character block. For Avatars and Bond Units, this section contains character creation data. For children, this contains parent information. I haven't tried it yet, but it will likely cause issues if a unit missing the child block is converted into a child. I know it causes issues for a Bond Unit or Avatar to be missing that block. Doesn't make the unit illegal online, the only issues I've seen are appearance based. Where you playing on casual when these kids died? What's the problem with children? Because I missed one or two. I accidentally let them die, not realising they wouldn't come back after the battle.
Yes I was, expected them to just come to me after the battle and join me. I get that the child needs the parent info, yeah.Children, Avatars, and Bond units all have an extra section added to their character block. In that case, the best way to get the children would be to recruit the child in question from someone else's castle then remove the shield and tweak the character block to your desired child.Yes I was, expected them to just come to me after the battle and join me. Alright, I'll see what I can do later. I may need some help with the editing itself, I'm not a very experienced person when it comes to hex editingIn that case, the best way to get the children would be to recruit the child in question from someone else's castle then remove the shield and tweak the character block to your desired child.
