if you have payloads, copy them out of aurei folder. if you want to use ntr, keep the firmware.bin in aurei folder.
then delete aurei on sd card, and create a new one by yourself. put payloads folder and firmware.bin back to aurei.
copy the arm9loaderhax.bin in 5.0 pack.... paste it..

Well it wouldn't really be an update if you didn't update it right?

dont get fresh with me.
if you read correctly youd see:

  • If using Arm9LoaderHax, unpack the arm9loaderhax.bin to the root of the SD card.
  • Else copy AuReiNand.dat and the 3ds folder to the root of the SD card.
you do not need to dat file if using a9lh. so get your facts straight and use your crappy sarcasm elsewhere.

Two things.
1. You need to chill. My post has no negative connotations. I don't need your cynicism.
2. You're not the OP, so its generalized to update either or. Besides, last time I saw your name was when you constantly trashed about a9lh success rate with your 'poll statistic'. Seems logical that you may have the non-a9lh version given the context.

People on the internet these days...

All you have to do is overwrite the arm9loaderhax.bin and unless u use ntr delete all the firm files from the aurei folder. There is no reason at all to pull payloads folder out and delete then recreate the aurei folder and put payloads back. You can delete the config file or leave it and just hold select while booting and check what needs to be checked.

Thanks! But after I delete them do I still keep the old functionalities with the other firmware bins? Sorry if noob question. I had just installed a9lh a couple days back.
ARN loads the firmware files directly from the NAND, so you won't loose any AGB_FIRM or TWL_FIRM features.

If you're using NTR, make sure to check the "Use SysNAND FIRM by default" option.

Ok, So instead of creating a new thread I'll just reply to this one. I updated my AuReiNAND on my N3DS (just the arm9loaderhax.bin file) and now none of my payloads will load. I tried all of the naming methods AuReiNand suggests but to no avail. Any Suggestions. Right now they are in the aurei/payloads folder named simply y.bin x.bin b.bin and default.bin and none of them work.
