You must put JPN JP in the text file for region emulation.
However, can you put the title of the game on the second line and have it still work?

btw, plailect's guide states that you need these bin files on the root of your SD:
Slot0x05KeyY.bin
slot0x11key96.bin
slot0x25KeyX.bin

what are these files for, and once you have arm9loaderhax installed, are these still needed?

You can use the keys for D9, but it's far easier to just use D9 and use the encrypt key database to convert all your keyfiles into a single aeskeybin binary and just keep that one on the internal SD.

You can move those into a decrypt9 folder to clean up ur sd card

Just curious, does the language emulator can somehow bypass/change the shown region/state for the game? I.E. Pokemon Profile will show "United States/AnyStateInTheUS in the Location on a region emulated UK 3ds, or will it still get the original information?

how does it know that you're using an updated sysnand automatically and protect it?
When it first boot u select updated sysnand mode. Also if the cfw boots from the .bin it knows so it auto blocks it. That is why there is a force a9lh detection option, so if u boot from the .dat or something else it will force the protection on.

"Force A9LH detection": If, for some reason, you want to use the non-A9LH version of the CFW (the .dat + .3dsx from HBL) after booting with the 9.0 FIRM on Arm9LoaderHax, you can force A9LH behavior with this setting. It's not needed otherwise.

this isn't the option to have updated sysnand mode though right?

Nah its not needed when boating from the .bin and using updated sysnand mode. Some people check it just to be safe.

Now that AuReiNand is truly only one file it would be great to have an update feature or app that downloads and installs the new versions when they are posted :)

Really? I find this fact less of a reason to do so. I'd only want an updater if it was really complicated to update.

Are you too lazy to open your web browser and use an FTP app or something :P ?
I mean it's not incredibly hard but there are a lot of 3DS homebrew that download files from the internet to the SD card. So I don't think it would be hard for a skilled person to make an updater just to skip even more of the steps.

The language emulation code only checks the first 6 bytes of the file, so you can add whatever you want after the language information and it should still work.

so if i have nothing checked on the options, it still protects the sysnand if i'm using arm9loaderhax.bin right?
