Having Strange Issue with Mario kart 8. it hangs the emulator i cant even click it. Task manager shows not responding. It Worked in 1.4.0c. New Super Mario Bros. U and Shovel Knight Working fine with cemu 1.4.1 i am using AMD Driver 16.2.1 Beta Can't try 16.4.1 because AMD no Longer support my card. View attachment 44953

Same here, with HD5770, driver 16.2.1 and MK8. Worked in 1.4.0, it doesn't on 1.4.1. It also hangs in the same way as yours. What's your CPU, please?

I have the same Problem with Cemu 1.4.1 and Mk8. Also had the Problem in 1.4.0 but it solved itself after some time and I don't know why... My specs: Xeon E3-1230v3, R9 390 I tried it with AMD Driver 16.2 and 16.4.1. When I try to start a race Cemu starts to hang after a few seconds and the AMD driver resets itself :/

Rendering the coins relies on AMD-specific behavior in the graphics driver (remember that Wii U's GPU is also from AMD)
Don't expect this issue to be fixed anytime soon on NVIDIA/Intel. It's a nightmare to work around.

Question - I what GPU is the Wii U most based on,
the best answer I could find was an ATI 4770.

Only one that actually IS using an amd gpu would be the WII, if you could call it an amd gpu

Wii is ATI, which is technically AMD but they are 2 different companies as a whole

AMD bought ATI in 2009, though like you said technically AMD didn't make the GPU.

In Mario Kart 8 , i can see the top area got artifact , not too sure if it is related depth texture issue ? I think it happen in Nvidia only .

Just to be sure: Did you actually try tapping, i. e. clicking with the mouse on the screen (maybe while pressing tab)

I have an nvidia card, so i haven't tried much else. The 2D games and 3D world work correctly, though 3d world is consistently less than 30 fps (compared to solid 60)

Confusing as hell... There's an intel card called the HD5500. People should probably stop giving things dumb names.

5500 is not an AMD card though, so if you know the super specific names of the brands, then you're fine.
To be specific, Intel don't name their cards in the 10's and AMD don't name theirs ending in 00.
