All I get when I try to switch my system on, is two black screens.

I was just fine with 4.5 sysNAND, and 10.7 emuNAND. For some stupid reason, I wanted to be able to auto-boot to Gateway, without the "hassle" of using MSET, and going to the system settings every time. So I tried updating to 9.2 with sysUpdater..... through rxTools. I guess that's probably where I messed up. I wasn't supposed to update through rxTools, I should have entered DevMode or something?

I had kept an old 9.2 sysNAND backup just in case. Can I do anything at all, or do I now have a brand new doorstop?

Yes devmode you should have entered. You can get a hardmod and use that backup if it was for your 3ds

You can fix it with a hard mod and you might be able to enter recovery mode by holding A, L, R and up to update it and then downgrade

I did the same thing like you did and hard bricked my device. Try to boot it without SD card, if this doesnt help, try to boot it in recovery mode. If both of them won't help, then you will have to hard mod your device, hope you got sysnand backup.

Sysupdater actually says that if you do that your console will be bricked...
Yes... It was a stupid evening...
I'm actually really careful about hacks and flashings, but my brain totally bugged out today, I totally missed the DevMode thing. And for such a stupid reason, I lost my 3DS XL...

Your only way out now is hardmoding. There are some gbatempers which knows how to do that. You can ask them or do it by yourself.

You can contact @hundshamer for a hardmod. It'll set you back 50 bucks though.

Yeah, I'm not even from the US, so no thanks... I can't imagine how much that could cost including the shipping costs.
I might give it myself a try, if I manage to find all the required thingies here. I have nothing to lose now anyway...

I bricked a 3DS XL.

It was 8.1FW. I setup emunand. Update emunand to 9.2.0-20U and backup emunand and restore the emunand to sysnand like yakara tutorial.

I alredy did with 2 3ds xl with successful.

But this one just wont boot anymore. It just get black screen. I dont know whats wrong. Was not first time i did it. But this time after a complete restore to sysnand just wont boot.

Can i unbrick it with a hardmob even if i sont have a backup?

No you need a NAND backup and before you ask no you cannot use a donor NAND

So i lost this 3ds xl?

I dont understand why a simple restore nand failed. I alredy tried that 2 times before. Following a yakara video.

The process was so simple. Setup emunand update it and restore to sysnand.
Do you have any NAND backups at all? Is your Emunand partition still on your SD card?
