Is it possible to download and install it into games the same way you would updates?

like you said, the DLC "data" are sometime already included in the release, that doesn't mean that you have them unlocked.
extracting the /vol/aoc folder from your console will not allows you to merge them into loadiine game format and unlock them for free.

Remember that the console still "sees" only Miimaker or SSBU, it will not unlock bought DLC for other games while it doesn't even know you are playing another title than SSB or Miimaker.

Two solutions:
- make the console load the correct meta folder before launching the game (meta.xml is not loaded from the dump, but from SSB/Mii/karaoke/etc.), maybe with symlink?
- patch the aoc system to unlock all unbought contents, but you'll miss the DLC data so it will work only on included content unless a aoc redirection is done in loadiine too. It's not loadiine's task to unlock, download, provide for free the data you didn't bought. It launches the game dump you have, but doesn't provide it, it will make that homebrew illegal.

If you extracted the wud using Uwizard, use vgmtoolbox instead. Uwizard sometimes misses the meta folder (pikmin and wipeout come to mind.) If someone extracted it for you, I guess you'll have to talk to them.

The meta folders downloaded for me when I downloaded an update for each game from the new NUS download tool.

But at the same time, it sucks to not be able to use DLC that you've spent your money on just because Loadiine isn't programmed to use it. If you want to get technical, Loadiine wouldn't be providing anything, just allowing the use of additional files that the user has to seek out. And in the case of on disc DLC, the player already paid for that when they bought the game.

It's not programmed to use it yet. It's not a loadiine issue, and it's not a deliberate choice to not allow dlc.
I talked only about the "free patch for unbought DLC" which is not loadiine's job.
The current issue is not the loader's fault but access right, which would either require IOS to allow meta folder access, or maybe there's a way to set the SD meta folder as symbolic link before launching the game and let the console read the correct meta instead of the one from the host title. I don't know if it allows symbolic link from SD.

You simply don't get it, right?

This has nothing to do with how loadiine is being coded.

The reason is that to the game it shows either Mii Maker oder SSB ID. This is nothing that can be changed with loadiine. It's the nature how the exploit works... If you want to play your DLC then update your console and buy also the original game and not only the DLC.

Not that this hasn't been explained a million times already... geez....

I've already paid for my games and DLC. I like to use Loadiine because not having to swap discs. Also, Nintendo fucked me over by banning my old console from miiverse, locking me out of major features in certain games, so they owe me. So shove it.

Nothing works here at all.
I've got my Wii U, updated to 5.3.2 via Splatoon, made the SD card Loadiine GX 2 ready but nothing works. Neither internet with tubehax or selfhost on phone or tablet.
Tried homebrew method and direct method.
Everytime I ran the exploit the first time (for the kernel exploit) it freezes with some of these: _ on the gamepad.
Didn't do anythint else then at my friend's Wii U. I don't get it. Any tips?

My Wii U came bundled with Nintendo Land which worked well.
Then I updated to 5.3.2 via Splatoon, tried all Loadiine things and then went on to be frustrated and only wanted to play a bit Nintendo Land from Disc with my girlfriend but everytime I put it in and start a screen shows up, saying "preparing update ..." I mean what the fuck happened? Don't tell me withing this one minute between setting up Wifi and putting in Tubehax my Wii U downloaded the update and attempt to start it when I start Nintendo Land?!

Its the experimental branch, some commits won't even compile. But thanks for the report anyways. You can see the save folder which is loaded with the UDP logger! Should be a wrong configuration on your side (maybe accidently turned on the extra save feature or changes the save method?)

I have only messed with the menus and added an extra one with just text to see how things work. I didn't edit anything with saves that I know of at this time. I have only edited the SettingsMenu.cpp and added another option to stSettingsCategories[] = and added another case to the void SettingsMenu:nCategoryClick section. Not sure if that would affect the saves?

The update is just a title update, not a system update.

If you get those _ when you try to run the exploit, you have to try again until it works ^^
Once you get it to work, it will not have those _ anymore.

What you can do to make it work:
Clear cookies/saved data in your browser. Exit the browser. Restart the system, and try to run it again.
You can also open some other tabs like youtube and try it in a separate tab.

I added a new Settings class (CSettingsGame) for the game specific settings. This holds a varibale of the game should use a extra save folder for the updatepath. IIRC the gui for this option is hidden, so you can't use it. Like I said yesterday: Look at the log which save path was used.
