they can have my data i dont use it anyway and you can block data collection in windows 10 easy i do it with the host file to speed up my pc lol if i cared about my privacy i wouldnt be on the net
That's a good answer.
If you know what's going on and it's ok for you - why not.

I put my hopes into Vulkan and linux gaming. But if I have to use 10 someday it will be on a clean install without acces to any privat data.

you use windows 10 ltsb it has no metro apps and no data collection and it's amazing for gaming

it's so far from bad it's amazing no crashes no bugs no BS like in windows 7 and it's not a memory hog or a cpu killer and it's fast as all hell people just dislike it because of the lies they where told about it

Not too much of a memory hog (~700mb) but as for CPU well, not really.

You mean the "lies" that are in the terms & conditions of Windows 10, that say they are spying on you in technical speak?

I know this doesn't really belong in here but I just have to add my 2 cents to this useless "windows sux" talk here ...
You guys really think Microsoft will be scanning all of your little computers ?
Quote from 2011:
1.25 billion Windows PCs running today. (That includes all versions of Windows.)

Do you really think Microsoft will hire xyz amount of people only to look what kind of porn you guys are watching ?
maybe, MAYBE ! they have some kind of search algorithm searching for some kind of illegal stuff but I really doubt it.
even if they would do that it would take forever to actually get some useful data plus Microsoft even resisted US court that told them to give them access to their cloud storage system which might be only some kind of commercial move, still it is showing that they won't give data to any random government.

And if you still have paranoia you could always install a firewall (or build your own) which blocks everything and always asks if sending of data is okay or not.

as i said to the other guy spying is a term scared people use if you care about privacy then you don't belong on the net windows has been collecting data like they do in windows 10 since windows xp and that won't ever change so either get over it or get off the net

The only issue I had with Windows 10, was when I did the "upgrade" install from Windows 7 pro 64 bit, I got a bugged installation, and had to do a fresh install of Windows 10 for things to work properly. But the OS is faster, and uses less resources. Some games I've played run better, particularly games that are CPU intensive.

Anyone worried about the US government tracking them, well I hate to break the news to them that they've been doing that for a long time. Its already been admitted that they're storing all the metadata on servers. I'm just 1 in billions of people they got data on and I'm not doing anything on the internet to raise enough attention to get them to focus on directly monitoring me anyway. Anyone who's truly paranoid about security wouldn't be using a Windows OS to begin with.
