I really want to region unlock my 3DS so I can play the Inazuma Eleven games, how do I go about doing that?

I can't really go on eshop because its asking me to update and I'm afraid to do that.

You can either use Hans which has region free (but I don't think it will allow you to use eshop) or downgrade to 9.2 and get region free and eshop

Okay cool. I used CFW for PSP and VITA so I know to be careful.

BTW There is no folder called 3ds on my SD Card, I see a folder called Nintendo3DS though. Is it that one? ALso, should I format my SD Card before I attempt this? Right now I'm backing it up on another drive.

Create a folder called 3ds and put the stuff it wants in that. You don't need to format it.

Okay so can you explain CIAs to me? Which one do I pick?
A CIA is any file installed to the 3ds. The operating system is made up of CIAs and any installed game or app is a CIA. What do you mean by which do you pick?

If you're talking about the cias that go in he updates folder, you want to copy all of them in there. If you don't... well it could be bad. Cias are basically the data for that certain firmware (in the context of this downgrade) otherwise they can even be 3ds games or applications.

When you go to "that iso site" make sure to download the correct region and 3ds model (O3DS OR N3DS) and the 9.2 firmware corresponding to it.

When you go to the link, click the first result and make sure you have an account on that site. After that, look for o3ds and the package for 9.2U
