Hacking buying a New Nintendo 3DS XL

im buying a new Nintendo 3ds XL today. but, I have a few questions. I used my old 32GB SD card for my o3ds. does that I mean I have to format it and lose all my games because the n3ds uses a different CFW? Also, is there an easy way to remove the back plate? I don't feel like buying a special screwdriver.

You need to format it because the INSTALLED cia are console specific(only the cias are general), not because it uses a different CFW

You need to buy a #00 screwdriver to swap the card unless you want to risk stripping those screws and you won't be able to swap the same card over to the n3DS anyway as it uses micro sd.

oops, I mistaked it for an sd card. it's a micro sd
