Ok, so I'm having a bit of difficulty reading games off of a few different micro SD cards. I was wondering if you guys can chime in and give me a bit of advice. Here is some pertinent information:

1) On 5.3.2U and I can successfully run the AOI kernel exploit, modified for Loadiine
2) I can successfully run Loadiine (GX2) and enter the Loadiine splash.
3) I'm not presented with any titles after I hit the Loadiine splash... I can configure some stuff, but that is about it.
4) Under the "Loader" menu in Loadiine, I cannot select "Game Path" or "Game Save Path" and I believe this may have something to do with the heart ache I'm feeling.
5) In the original Wii menu, I do see "blocks open" on the SD card, so I believe the console is able to read the card itself, so I'm not sure where the disconnect is? Am I suppose to use a USB SD Card reader, or is the native slot fine?
6) I'm formatting the cards to FAT32 using 64KB blocks.
7) I've tried both a 32GB micro SD and a 128 GB micro SD. I formatted the former leveraging the native Windows tool and the latter with EaseUS Partition Master 10.8. The 128 GB has been formatted with a single Primary partition and with a unallocated block and a Logic partition directly thereafter.
8) The directory structure is as follows: SD:\wiiu\games\mario3dworld etc. For good measure, I renamed the volume "SD" to follow the guides exactly.

I know I'm probably making a stupid mistake somewhere along the line, but I can't seem to figure out where. Anyone with a keen eye will probably spot this error somewhere along the way, hence the forum post. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ensure that each folder of a game looks like this or it will not appear.

Mario Kart 8 [XXXXXX]
where the x's are you need the title id from http://www.gametdb.com/WiiU

so an example would be:
Mario Kart 8 [AMKE01]

Each game has a different title id, if you read the first page of the loadiine gx thread it explains it in more detail.
In some cases the game rip it self will already have a META folder, which allows you to get the title id from.

Just to be sure, you are doing this, Right?:

Folder structure

Games

The default game path is SD:/wiiu/games/
It can be changed by editing the loadiine_gx2.cfg file manually in a text editor.

The game folder format is Game's Title [TitleID6]/
Example with the game "Super Mario Maker USA":
SD:/wiiu/games/Super Mario Maker [AMAE01]/

Attention: Loadiine GX2 requires the game's title AND the TitleID to be present in the folder name.
The game's title is the one displayed in loadiine.
The TitleID is used to automatically download the corresponding cover from http://gametdb.com and load it from SD card.
If the titleID is not present, the game box will have no cover.

The titleID can be found and generated by looking in the meta.xml, last 4 and last 2 digits form the TitleID6.
<product_code type="string" length="32">WUP-P-AYCP</product_code>
<company_code type="string" length="8">0001</company_code>
[AYCP01]

http://gametdb.com can also be used to find the TitleID6.

Inside your game's folder, copy the 3 game's extracted folders : content, code and meta folder.
You should now have this:
Code:
SD:/wiiu/games/SuperMarioMaker[AMAE01]/code/
SD:/wiiu/games/SuperMarioMaker[AMAE01]/content/
SD:/wiiu/games/SuperMarioMaker[AMAE01]/meta/

Also, try to format you micro sd to 32k cluster, isntead of 64, i have heard that 64 gives alot of problems.

Ok great. I knew it had to be something relatively minor. I will attempt to append the titleID to the folder name of the game. If that doesn't solve the issue, I'll also attempt to reformat to 32K cluster.

Is the meta folder necessary? I hadn't been doing that either.

Alright sweet, this is some significant progress for me.

Without the meta folder, I don't have game names or game images, even when I press the "+" button on the gamepad, enter config, then exit back to the main screen. However, they at least show up as unidentified icons.

Woolly World seemed to load very slow on my class 10, then freezes when displaying the various controller types.

I'm going to go back to a single "Primary" partition formatted to 32KB cluster with meta folders in tact.

I really appreciate the help here!

No worries, if you need anything else, just reply me or quote me, ill be glad to help, also remember that even a class 10, can have a slow speeds depending on the max transfer speed of the SD, and also dont forget to check the loadiine compatibility chart.

Thanks, ScarletDreamz.

I got it working, kind of. I see all of the games in Loadiine. However, the Yoshi Woolly World game still seems to get stuck at the various controller options screen, even after using 32K cluster and a single primary partition. It doesn't appear to be frozen, but I'm not capable of proceeding past that screen; it is very odd. I've even used different types of controllers to eliminate the off chance that the input isn't being recognized due to the type of input device.

I will note that it is a game from another region, which the matrix states requires file/folder renames. However, there are already US labeled folders in the code/demo, code/font, code/locale folders. I didn't think renaming all of the EU folders to US would do much good, as it would have created a naming conflict with the folders that are already present.

At first, I wondered if it was the SD card.

I bought it last week solely for this purpose. The consecutive read/write is impressive on larger files. Obviously, less so for a high-quantity of smaller files. But SSBU works just fine. I've had great luck with SP flash in the past. In fact, I believe a lot of larger names OEM their products. Anyhow, SSBU (the only other game I've tested) takes a minute to load up, but after that it is smooth sailing.

I'll keep investigating, but I'm a bit lost on this one.

Your thoughts? I believe at this point I'm doing everything correctly except the region folder rename.

Thanks again! This forum and the support provided by individual members are impressive.

Create a back up of the game, and delete the folders that are already there.

as example, delete the US folder and rename the EU folder to US, that's my only tough right now, as it seems that Yoshi woolly world has a good compatibility, i might be the 128gb, but since u told me that smash loads fine, is quite difficult to tell.

I wish you the best of lucks! C:
