Not sure if the console window spamming 2000 messages a second is impacting performance, but here's a comparison of Mario Kart 8 at the same moment on both, playing a replay after one restart to compile the shaders beforehand:

r1 (21.13 fps):View attachment 39780

Intel i7-4700HQ CPU @ 3.2 Ghz turbo, GTX 870M
Oops, I accidentally forgot to disable debug output in the release build.
I have reuploaded r0 and r1, same download link. Could you try again? It should run faster without the console spamming. Thanks!

3D world with console:

r1 (12.45 fps): upload_2016-2-21_20-13-41.png

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

@Exzap r0 now reports that it is "r1" in the title bar... r1 is definitely faster without console though:

For some reason NSMBU, Darksiders 2, Nintendo Land and Legend of Zelda crashed at launch with the console version but in the version without console they now run + few fps increase

Disregard the console version, it's meant to run slow and throw a debugbreak (crash) whenever something happens that isn't 100% implemented.

Make sure you're using your GT 650 and not your Intel HD 4000 integrated as Intel cards have graphical issues.

Under boot camp Apple has restricted Windows to using only the discrete graphics card if the system has a discrete graphic card included, therefore I can only use my Nvidia GeForce GT 650m. Drivers are updated but if you look at the screenshot I have attached there are sprites missing. Any idea why?

What sprites do you believe are missing? Apart from the background, it looks identical to how the tutorial is meant to appear. Have you ever played Super Mario Maker?

I mean where do I click to run the level I have created in the screenshot above?
I tested it on a wii u and I remember there is a button to do that. I'm stuck without that
