seriously though, there's no point using rxTools on n3DS right now. no region free and no GBA, rx menu freezes. stick to reinand for now.
Just shut up already with that crap. It has region free. I play a Japanese game on mine every day. As (obviously) a few posts before yours (so I'm not the only one).

I'm using ReiNAND MOD just for the sake of booting up DS and DSiWare from my emunand, but I do see some advantages in rxTools.

rxTools:
  • Region Free
  • rxTOols menu. This helps you generate xorpads easily and other stuff like that (dumping NAND is another one).
  • DS/DSiWare support for O3DS.
ReiNAND:
  • Straight up bootable emunand, the mod even has some code modification to avoid blackscreens so often.
  • DS/DSiWare support for both O3DS/N3DS (I think the mod does)

You like Reinand so much, do everyone here a favor and YOU stick to ReinNand and stay in the ReiNand thread.

Doesn't freeze, works for me. Maybe freezes every other time like in older nightlies.
But yeah, lack of DS/GBA is not cool. It's only convenient for people who don't need GBA/DS and don't want several apps for xorpad n stuff.

umm... that's because rxTools doesn't automatically update the ROP when the main CakesRop tree gets updated. It did in the past, but then there was a time when certain changes broke rxTools until rxTools reverted which version it was using. What we're talking about is rxTools updating to the one you just compared it with, so of course it's the same! That was the whole point!
Dude, I love you but you're not making any sense.
I downloaded the latest rxtools commit, checked what hash it said for CakesROP in the output (and it agreed with CakesROP @ b14debb) then I did a binary compare of everything in the CakesROP folder to what was in Motezazer's CakesROP folder from 3 days ago (that's more than 20 hours ago) and they're the same!

Exactly, LOL! rxTools used 994e961 before this. NOW it's using b14debb.

You're doing it wrong. Look at the pull request itself (Hint: Click on pull requests, then click on "closed" to see everything that was either merged or rejected), and you can see what was changed.

The above linked to from the pull request that was merged.

Rxtools went from
CakesROP hash: 994e9614e392869042a7640bed95ea0e4a2a5a1f
to
b14debbd349c1990aab65716086c8d3809ce90bf

Definitely not the same.

OK, I wasn't talking about rxTools.
CakesROP.nds aka rxinstaller.nds is still the same, no?

The other changes to rxTools were more or less minimal:

  1. Updated credits list
    capito27 committed 4 hours ago

Merge pull request #389 from mxalbert1996/master
    AlbertoSONIC committed 12 hours ago

I'm not sure what you want to tell me.

ReiNAND is a disgrace compared to rxTools if I see all the features and work and progress RX made.

My rxTools runs GBA cias and runs my DS cartridges and old R4i GOLD (with changing date...).

Leave the forum if you're trying to be ignorant.
You really should quote who you're speaking to. Only people with a brain will figure out that you're talking to @reiyu .

I'm not talking to him. Read the conversation and learn how to properly use and understand a forum, it's not impossible that people make the same statements.

Gosh, you're stubborn.
Of course it does on O3DS. We're talking about N3DS here.

I am aware of that, several prominent hackers and homebrew specialists made a statement about seeing it possible in a very short time. FOLLOW THE NEWS!

Thus proving my point. So, WHO needs to learn how to use the forum?

You really are slow in terms of understanding...

Maybe. But not now.

Still not clear about whether rxTools patches regionfree or not on N3DS? At the beginning everyone was like no, now @urherenow says it does. What now.
