I totally forgot that the HBL CIA is different to launchining in the cooldboot using MenuHax now I can't get to Reinand to uninstall that.

All I wanted was to update my MenuHax to latest version (cause want to update to 10.5 ASAP) and BTW, to update to the latest version of MenuHax do I need to delete and reinstall it through HBL? if not then I feel even dumber lol.

Please help me to fix this, thanks in advance!

When booting into emunand just press the button you configured to stop menuhax. That'll do the trick. After that you just have to change the theme.

And no, you don't need to delete it.

installing menuhax in emunand should still send you to ctr manager/whatever manager you use when you start up. just, when you get into ctr, hold the L button (or whatever button you configured) and continue to your emunand. then, change theme in emunand to get rid of menuhax in emunand.

edit: i see you kept up messing around and now you dont even get to ctrbootmanager?

i guess your sd card root holds a boot.3dsx for HBL right now. i guess, first of all, get into hbl and menuhax manager and chose to start menuhax when you dont press the L button. then, turn off the 3ds, put sd into pc and rename the boot.3dsx for hbl and put in the boot.3dsx for ctr boot manager.

set up boot managers config file to point to your cfw and the renamed hbl 3dsx file (see the bootmanager thread for that, it should be explained there) and then, since menuhax should still be installed for emunand, remember to hold L/whatever button while loading your cfw to get into emunand and change theme in emunand. be sure to be in emunand though (check your cias or whatever)

Thanks it helped me to be able to boot Reinand from HBL but as I've followed zezzo instructions now there is no coldboot it just boot to HBL (Sysnand) what should I do to get it back?

So it's weird then cause after installed MenuHax in emunand when I rebooted and wanted to enter to Reinand it autoboot again but now it booted to HBL (don't know if Sysnand or Emunand, probably the first one) and if I tried to launch Reinand from HBL it crashed, now that I changed the theme in both nands I can acccess to Emunand through HBL but my coldboot doesn't shows when turining on the 3DS or trying to access to Reinand with HBL (if I did that after following Zezzo instructions then autoboot shows but didn't let me boot to Reinand, just HBL)

This thing is confuse.

i edited that post, see if thats helping you.

just to make sure though, by coldboot you mean 3ds automatically boots into ctrbootmanager and after like two seconds continues automatically to cfw, yes?
tbh, installing menuhax to emunand alone shouldnt have changed anything in that setup. only that, since menuhax automatically loads boot.3dsx, it would first boot you into ctr and then, from there begin an endless cycle of booting ctr again and again until it crashed itself. unless you like copied all files from a new starterpack and overwrote boot.3dsx files.

it is a bit confusing, but check your bootfiles and ctrbootmanager ini file.

once you get back to the point where you autoboot to ctr and continue on to emunand, we'll look into how to get hbl access from emunand

Don't worry, you tried to help me, at least what you've said was almost correct, was my fault too :/

I'm trying to understand that but don't get it, if it helps I followed this back in the day to access to HBL CIA (emunand) cause without modifying the files it never opened HBL:

EDIT: And yes, I was coldbooting well before modifying this menuax thing... It doesn't detect autoboot, turn it on, boots to HBL, since there I can launch Reinand but there is no coldboot, which indeed was the problem after deleting menuhax from emunand)

Hex edit your menuhax payload, find boot.3dsx inside your payload and replace it with something else 4 letters long .3dsx, eg. cold.3dsx.
Rename boot.3dsx to that new name.
Then rename bootHBL.3dsx to boot.3dsx and edit boot.cfg, changing bootHBL.3dsx to boot.3dsx also.

I've the files exactly modified like he said, what should I modify then?

If your emunand automatically boots into HBL, then just use the menuhax manager to uninstall it. As long as you are sure that emunand executed the HBL, then it will only be removed from emunand and not sysnand.

Thanks again!

Delete the contents of that folder. Folder name different depending on region of your console. But I assume you have a North American console so that should be the location for you.

ID0 and ID1 are the sub folders with the really long name. (full of letters and numbers. It's different for each console, hence I shortened it to ID0 and ID1 respectively)

Since you have emunand, there will be two ID0 folders. View the folder size in file properties. The larger one is usually the one for emunand since most of your games are probably installed while in emunand. ;)

After deleting Home Menu extData you'll need to unwrap the game icons again and move them back into the folders (if any) you had them in. Positions of system titles won't be lost however. (at least the ones I had in folders anyways)
