according to the main site yes it's still being worked on as they still have a the support dialog and many other stuff to work on.
Ok wonderful. I'll wait as long as I have to to get a complete product. I'd even go as far as donating to the team that's helping with this translation. Since I can't pay for the DLC I may as well give to those who are making it an enjoyable experience for the rest of us.

Are they accepting donations?

One last thing, is there any work being done with Xenoblade Chronicles X?

Someone could just take a rip of the text from the US game and just touch up where the censoring took place. Assuming the breast slider can be put back too.

sadly though the dlc and not all of the game (a lot of menu stuff) hasn't been patched, just the dialect and some of the most used menu has been so the game isn't 100% patched.
But it is being worked on right or did the team disband?
I'm a bit surprised that you guys still haven't noticed that I'm part of the FEIF fan-translation team.

Edit: I even made a more official and up-to-date thread here.

here's a good question, will you guys still work on the translation even when the NA version hits shelves? Or will you just quit even if translation still isn't 100% done?

It's not something I focus too much on as I have too many other games + RL stuff to deal with. It's cool to know that your part of the team though.

So is Xenoblade Chronicles X being taken cared of by anyone at this time?

Yes. We might mess with the US/EU versions, but that's unlikely, atm.

Not that I know of. Xenoblade Chronicles X is already out in the US/EU and it's fine as it is. There's no need to mess with it, really.

Damn, I'll just have to use my intuition for that game then. I refuse to play the US game by any means.
If you're talking about Fire Emblem If/Fates, why would you say that? All there is, right now, is speculation about the censorship. We know that a few support conversations have been changed because of how controversial they are, but that's about it. Not to mention, their work on the game is way more professional than what we have. Anyway, I'll still be buying the Special Edition in the US. I want to support Nintendo and have them make and localize more games.
unless you have a N3DS then you won't be able to play it anyways.
I think they were talking about Fire Emblem If/Fates.

no he was talking about xenoblade.
anyways I don't think I'll be getting the US version of fates because of the censorship and all, sure ninty is a children's company really but I feel like when a game gets censored it just takes away a lot of what the game is really about.

As selfish as it sounds. I'd prefer if the games didnt get localized at all than to be butchered like it is, if NoA thinks so little of its consumers like this then they should only send over Mario, Zelda and Pokemon games only (not that those games have been immune to censorship in the past, but still.)

What do you mean butchered? Also, again with the whole "children's company" Xenoblade Chronicles X is still one hell of a fantastic game. The only things they've removed/changed was the chest size slider and some costumes (having Lyn, a 13 year old girl, wearing a revealing bikini isn't exactly appropriate at all...)

On top of that, wasnt the acronym to BLADE changed as well since it had religious affiliation?

Also Fatal Frame 5 got censored, why does an M rated game need to be censored?

maybe because it has to due with some sort of US law dealing with video games if I remember correctly. At least I think it was a law :/

The game has plenty of "religious affiliation" that relates to similar events in many places in real life around the world. I mean, plenty.

Maybe it's because the main character looks like a high schooler instead of a 19 year old girl? Not to mention, there's a certain scene where you can literally film the main character in whatever costume she's wearing (and there are some costumes that aren't exactly appropriate and may cause some serious problems).
Look, from how I see it, it wouldn't matter if Nintendo put a bit of censorship or not. They'll become news from multiple articles in multiple places and then people start going crazy over them, negatively, if the games have censorship or not. I dislike censorship as much as the next guy, but, really, as long as the game is fun, I don't mind it much. The only time I do mind it a lot is when it affects the gameplay as a whole and you're not getting much of the meat on the plate. I had plenty of fun with Fatal Frame 5. The whole censorship thing didn't exactly remove much of anything, like the whole gameplay aspect. Just changes like costumes, which don't even affect much of the gameplay, really. Besides, I'd rather have games come over more to the West than to worry about something like censorship. I know that some people don't share the same views as I do, but, hey, at least we're getting the games, right? Plus, Bayonetta 2 has PLENTY of sexy stuff and Nintendo and Platinum Games didn't bother to change any of that and kept the game how it's supposed to be like with the original game. It's not just Nintendo that decides to add in censorship. The developers of the games also make the decision, as well. There are times when it's just the developers that make the decision by themselves, without Nintendo, to put in censorship. There are some rules and regulations for both the developers and/or Nintendo that they have to follow or they would end up in trouble. Sometimes, they just can't help it, no matter how much you asked them not to put in censorship for localization.

Anyway, that's how I feel about the matter with censorship. Xenoblade Chronicles X is still one hell of an amazing game and I love it. Censorship didn't stop me from enjoying the whole game as it only changed a few things that don't really affect the game much, at all. If you don't like the censorship, you may as well try and learn how to read Japanese and start importing games. Playing a game and not understanding much of the language it's showing doesn't exactly give you the best experience you can have with the game. Using your "intuition" to play games in a different language you can't read isn't exactly as fun as playing the same games with a bit of censorship, but you can clearly understand how to play the game well.
