For cfw do you mean FBI? So installing it twice? 1 for sysnand (minipasta) and 2 for emunand (FBI)?

It's odd because some CIA only installs through minipasta so I don't think installing for both is possible.

That's not right. All CFW's should be able to install unsigned CIAs... Maybe try using a different CIA installer?

Really shouldn't make a difference. I guess it would make for less title clutter, which could help am:u get the job done more efficiently

It is the only way to get rid of the chance for a soft brick for some people, has anyone else needed to format to get past the Error has Occurred screen?

No, but an update is sometimes necessary.

That's what I'm afraid of, I'm thinking if he wants piracy then, he can wait until Gatewait (hopefully) makes use of ntrcardhax.
He wants to buy a Gateway anyway...

Trying to install big blue menu through FBI but keeps on failing along with other CIA folders like hblauncher. Only installs in minipasta. I'd prefer to see these apps in emunand

I installed BigBlueMenu over H&S app and used that with miniPasta to install FBI. Apps seem to appear fine in emuNAND for me.

Do you install these apps in SD or NAND? They can install in NAND for me but not in SD. (I highly prefer SD.)

I installed them in my NAND. My NANDs were linked when I installed them, so they went to both emuNAND and sysNAND. If you haven't formatted sysNAND yet, your NANDs are still linked, and the process will work.

I did the emunand partition part. Does that mean my 3DS will automatically turn on as emunand?

No, you need to set up themehax on your sysNAND to boot your CFW of choice.

I'm trying to downgrade a EUR 2DS 10.3 but:

With menuhax i get pink dots 8even with FTBRONY tricks)
With Browserhax i get this error: can't get am:u service

I did a about 50 tries in 2 days. I'm really bored ahah

Quick question guys (I haven't been able to find this specifically). Is it possible to use safesysupdater to downgrade to 9.0and then update to 9.2 via game cart? Wouldn't this reduce the occurrence of the frankenfirmwares by overwriting the cias that don't get downgraded with the 9.2 ones?
I'm asking because I tried downgrading my N3DS XL and using the downgrade checker some CIA versions don't match and I'm unable to run Pasta or install CIAs using using FBI (I can run ReiNand but FBI keeps spitting out errors).
And one more thing, does anyone know if I can just try to re-downgrade from my 9.2 frankenfirmware or if I have to upgrade first to then re-downgrade again? Some game carts seem to have the 10.1 upgrade...

i just did the downgrade from 9.9 to9.2 and half way in safesysupdate the screen said error rebooting or something like that it rebooted to black screen. powerd off and it booted to what looks like 9.2. im having the issue that when i click on system tab it hangs at the 3ds log on top screen, and browser it just hangs also wont go into browser
. how did you fix this if you would?

I got into same situation, a 9.8 downgrade to 9.2 left me with a 3DS with no working settings screen and no browser, i've orderd shovel knight and waiting for that to arrive to apply a 9.8 update back (I hope). But I'm wondering if it's a better option (or indeed possible) to use sysupdater to update the >9.2 (i.e 9.8) up to 10.3 and then do a downgrade to 9.2? Is that feasible?
