You're comparing the latest Haswell chip to the earliest of either chips, of course performance will be comparatively worse. Compare the 4770 to the 5775C or 6700K and suddenly it's a different story. I was saying that of the two technological advancements from the Haswell family, Broadwell is more of a leap while Skylake is a hop. You're already running pretty thin on credibility when it comes to your knowledge of computers, I would be careful throwing around bullshit statistics without backing up your claims if I were you
good luck with that sadly you are very wrong on most if not all of your info might want to catch up on info some thats not dated there is a huge reason why everyone skipped broadwell in the pc community and are starting to sell off skybender as well unlike you i dont buy into hype intel is known for lies and the speeds they say never turn out to be real. education and getting into the pc community matters you gain more experience.

...... The reason most everyone skipped out on Broadwell was because intel rushed through it to release Skylake. Neither are currently worth it because they have not been developed at all yet. As I said you can't compare a day one processor release to a heavily revised design. Also, Broadwell came with a die shrinkage and new instruction set (a major "tick" release) while Skylake was only a change in microarchitecture and integrated graphics (a minor "tock" release): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_Tick-Tock

Edit: You know what, look at it this way. If you insist on comparing the opening Broadwell/Skylake chips to the Devil's canyon chips, try this: Compare the 3770K (Last Ivy Bridge i7 chip before going into "extreme" territory) to the 4770K (The Haswell chip priced in the same range as the 3770K, meant to be a direct successor). Look at things like price, speed of integrated graphics, TDP, features compared to later chips, etc.

I wonder if rooted Android devices will ever be able to stream the gamepad via USB. I always wondered how the gamepad features would be used.
Using an android device as a gamepad for the emu or for a Wii U? Sounds horrible but interesting. Bet you could do it over Bluetooth too

Youll get the same fps than everyone else.

Hardware doesnt matter at this state of development.

Unless you are running below 3ghz and really old hardware.

no the reason was no performance gains at all so it wasnt worth the dime for anyone wanting a new rig or to upgrade the cpu 4790k is still king when building a rig next to x99 skybender skyfreezer isnt worth the money in the pc building world or the hackintosh world and people who use linux dont even matter enough to count

You know, throwing insults is a sign that you don't have any real worthwhile arguments. If you were listening to what I've been saying, we need to wait for intel to develop their Broadwell line further before we can actually really judge it, as they have a history of dramatically improving on the power of their processors after they introduce new technologies within the family. Of course Devil's Canyon is the best chip family for people with a LGA1150 socket, but it almost certainly won't be within the one or two years, when people will be needing to upgrade. Now stop derailing this thread on Wii U emulation just to try and prove that you know more about PC hardware than anyone else.

(Also I wouldn't wander into the PC subforum and try to tell anyone there that Linux users are insignificant)

Broadwell is done. No more development on desktop platform. So no sure what are you guys talking.

With gpu there is a driver maturing process. With cpu, thats what you get. No magical improvements.
Also no changes in instructions set.

But please, talk about emu.

Also no changes in instructions set.
X-bit Labs said:
Broadwell is Intel's codename for the 14 nanometer die shrink of its Haswell microarchitecture, following the Intel's tick-tock principle as the next step in semiconductor fabrication.

Broadwell will adopt the Multi-Chip Package (MCP) design. The new layout might also move the integrated voltage regulator (IVR) off-die and back onto the motherboards, in an attempt to reduce the CPU's heat production.

Broadwell will be used in conjunction with Intel 9 Series chipsets.

As expected Broadwell will introduce some instruction set architecture extensions: ADOX, ADCX and MULX for improving performance of arbitrary-precision integer operations, RDSEED for generating 16-, 32- or 64-bit random numbers and PREFETCHW instruction.

Also Broadwell will have new improved integrated GPU with boosted performance level.

But please, talk about emu.
Yes, I agree

I wonder if rooted Android devices will ever be able to stream the gamepad via USB. (And I mean ever. Not soon) I always wondered how the gamepad features would be used.

USB would be cool, but it's either too complicated to currently stream data this way or actually impossible without rewriting how the USB connection itself works. (Edit: It's possible phone-to-PC, but not PC-to-phone)
For just the touchscreen you could try Teamviewer as an alternative through Wi-fi. I'm sure there's a way to change how the cursor behaves to get a more touchscreen feel. If there isn't, at least the technology exists for someone to make one.

I dont see possible to use other devices as tablets or cellphones. It's just too complicated.

Hope devs can implement official controller support.
