Homebrew FBI won't load properly and fails .CIA intallation

Guys help! FBI won't keep going after the "Cleaning Up..." and when I press A it takes me to the File Explorer but doesn't install any .CIAs.

EmuNAND in it's simplest form is a system on your sd card that can be launched instead of SysNAND. SysNAND is the original system on your 3ds and is located on a chip.

H&S is short for Health and Safety. (The app with the yellow exclamation mark)

A CFW is a custom firmware. Examples are: PastaCFW, CakesCFW, ReiNAND and RXTools.

But these things aren't important. You can't install nonlegit CIA's on 10.3. If you want to install nonlegit cia files, downgrade using safesysupdater first and setup a CFW. I can't help you with safesysupdater as I haven't used it.

This article might help you. It helped me get a hang of things when I got my 2DS a few weeks back.


It goes over how to install your homebrew and install CFW on an emuNAND. If you want to be able to install any non-legit cias (see here and here for more info), you need to be on a CFW. Hope this helps!

PastaCFW. You need to patch SysNAND. Also, Pasta has to be launched each time when you boot your 3ds otherwise the app won't show up.

I'm with the same problem, but in my case, the error shows "invalid command" when I try to install FBI on reiNAND. Do I have to apply the patch on sysNAND too?

N3ds I presume? This issue only arises when your try to install an unlegit CIA without a patched system. Whats your SysNAND and EmuNAND version?

Yes, N3DS with downgraded 9.2.0-20E. I'm using reiNAND 3.1, and was trying to install the FBI.cia via HBL FBI on EmuNAND.

You did backup and restore your SD card right? EmuNAND9 removes all data on your SD card when setting up EmuNAND. Also, can you access your 3ds without a cfw, or do you get a blackscreen then as well?

yes! i have all file what we need in /3ds

i dont know how can i test the emunand works

Try RXTools, ReiNAND doesn't work on O3ds.
