I'm sure this has been asked already but i lack the searching skills to find it (and I've tried) is there a way to play DS games on my O3DS XL without a flashcart.
No, there is currently no way to do so, others have stated that the twl firmware for the nds would have to be totally rewritten to enable such.I'm sure this has been asked already but i lack the searching skills to find it (and I've tried) is there a way to play DS games on my O3DS XL without a flashcart.
Thank you a ton for the info, i assume that means that unless i buy gateway's cartridge, i'm unable to play 3ds games? If so, i guess i'll absolutely try one out!
I've checked a few guides on downgrading the firmware, they seem easy enough to try. =D
I have both a Gateway and a SuperCard DS One, I want to play DS games on my 3DS, is it possible with these? I've heard of people using R4, which I do have one, but was hoping to be able to do it with what I have here setup already.
If you have a gateway, it should come with the bluecard, which is just a rebranded r4, you would need to install the bluecard fix to the sysnand to use it but that should do the job for you.I have both a Gateway and a SuperCard DS One, I want to play DS games on my 3DS, is it possible with these? is there any way to use an R4 on the 3ds cfw?
Does 3ds support USB/FTP data transfer?
You can, but it slow as fawk in uploading CIA games. anything smaller like NTR/plugin/homebrew, you be fine without tearing your hair out.srr for the noob question: what is the fastest way to access microSD's data on N3DS/XL without removing the backplate?
Can I use MicroSD Management?
hmm thanks for the quick answer. You can, but it slow as fawk in uploading CIA games. anything smaller like NTR/plugin/homebrew, you be fine without tearing your hair out.
You don't actually need that. for N3DS, it homemenu shortcut of what you were saying earlier.hmm thanks for the quick answer.
Removing the backplate is such a pain
Wut exactly is the transferring speed then? And for 9.5 emunand, can i use this?
dang it, i think i had to go with sd card thenYou don't actually need that. for N3DS, it homemenu shortcut of what you were saying earlier.
Comparing transfer speed
kid icarus uprising: 3.5 gb
by MicroSD Management: 2.5 hours
by SD card: less then 5 minutes
remember you don't have to screw in the back plate each time.
You're not in emuNAND until you launch ReiNAND.Here's my noob question:
N3DS using menuhax > ctrbootmanager > reinanand or homebrew launcher
When I'm in ctrbootmanager, am I in emunand yet? Or only when I enter ReiNAND? I'm trying to understand that if I run tools from HBL (such as FBI or Pasta) which NAND they will change. Thanks!
3DS roms are set to preset block sizes (524MB, 1048MB, 2097MB, etc...). When a game is converted to a cia, all of the unused data is stripped and you're left with only the actual game data, which makes a huge difference in file size.Anyone know why 3DS files and CIA files have such large differences in size blocks? Are 3DS stuck to preset size blocks?
