Hacking ReiNand 10.3 N3ds (:

i tried installing it using the FBI 3dsx and I got an error. i'll try injecting FBI using H&S.

try using NASA instead of FBI, someone around here mentioned that it worked for them. At worst, it does not work.

just ran decrypt9 in sysnand and injected fbi to emunand h&s. didn't know it can do it from there, pretty awesome tool!

successfully updated to reinand 10.3 thanks to everyone that helped me.

if someone could bear w/ me, i have a few more questions:
- how can i make sure that my system wont automatically update, both sysnand & emunand?
is using the dns safe, cause i wont be able to boot to recovery if ever, right?
- is it ok to keep the wifi on, also is it ok to put the system to sleep while on reinand?
- can i update games via eshop? is it as simple as sky3ds/cartridge update?

*i know i can google this, but w/ all versions and whatnot, it gets quite confusing.

It's not like the Wii U, your 3DS won't update unless you choose to do it.

Once on Rei 10.3 you can update games by pressing Y when launching.

k, so... i did all this and i get "Opening the home menu..." then blackscreen, then it shows the menuhax splash quickly and says the black screen error "an error has occurred."

what did i miss? :\

I set up Reinand 9.0 on N3ds and never changed it as I was able to play the latest games cryptofixed and therefore had no reason to. What would be the purpose of upgrading to 10.3 and if I wanted to, can I just update my reinand sd files and let emunand update? Will I still be able to just install CIAs on 10.3.

Also have th ds profile exploit running (mset?) does it need to be removed before updating, or reinstalled after?

I've set up emunand, unlinked them by using tinyformat on my sysnand and have all the reinand files (at least i think i have all of them) on my SD card so that when I boot into emunand all my games and everything are in there. Cia's that i've installed such as FBI.cia work, but when I go into system setting it still tells me I'm on firmware 9.2. Should it say something like Rei 9.2? The firmware version looks normal, so i'm having a hard time figuring out if Rei is working correctly. Should my firmware version have any special symbols or say 'Rei' before the number?

*edit* Ahh I tried it again by copying the latest Reinand files and it worked fine this time. Problem solved.

Should we run again freemultipatcher after updated reinand (updated emunand)? Because I updated emunand and I lost 15 games (includes eur and usa games, I am eur). So I came back to the 9.5 emunand.

Ah, even though I have an Amiibo I never bother with the lackluster NFC content, so I never noticed.

No support for NFC before 9.5? I thought that came in 9.3. How does Smash work with 9.3 and NFC?

All the "with NFC" written on the box came with 9.4+ minimum out-of-factory.

Been there. Done that. Google "rei-01-15-16" to find the rei-01-15-16-autoboot.rar. This version fixed this issue. That screen should never appear, even briefly.

sooo, in the end all I had to do is replace the right files on my SD (took a couple of tries to get the right ones), and I can boot reinand through the same old DS exploit. Updated through sys menu.

I decided to update for the SD data transfer tool and Badge arcade.

I lost one title when changed from rxTools to ReiNand, does it lack some feature like region-spoof compared to rxTools? It was a game that I've played like 5 minutes so I don't care much and update to 10.3 went flawlessly for me, downloading a software from eShop now.

Ouch, my .cia installed themes disappeared after installing from eShop, is it normal?

I had that issue using HBL but it does boot fine from ctlbootmanager.

I'm having the same issue: 'Opening the home menu...', after restoring my emunand backup it works but of course then I'm back at 9.2 again. I do not get the "an error has occurred" but it just keeps rebooting and/or stops with a yellow or red screen.

Any ideas?

Maybe menuhax is load a second time in emunand. Do you have auto boot ? Try to press the button to not load menuhax when you launch emunand.
Did you create your emunand after set up menuhax ?
