So is using the tubehax dns enough to keep a 5.5.0 wiiu from updating or do i need to blacklist on my router as well?
(tried that on my dd-wrt one and it didn't work with a 3ds before, after which i also used tubehax dns.)

Guys read..

We need userland exploit to trigger kernel exploit to trigger IOSU..
(with the Hykem IOSU we can trigger IOSU directly from Userland..)

We have Userland until version 5.5 inclusive.
Kernel until 5.4 inclusive (5.5.1 still private and unpatched).
IOSU private until 5.5.1.

But with the last fw version we lost the entrypoint (userland exploit), so NO UPDATE!

Put a "http://" at the beginning of your url. On the wii u browser you can't browse to upages beginning with the ip directly (i assume you do this this way?).
