I bought a new Micro SD that should be arriving later this month, will I be able to transfer all my stuff and keep Ironhax installed? Or will I have to redownload Ironfall and have a chance of losing my Homebrew ability? The micro SD card is coming from China so it won't arrive until the end of the month.

You should be able to just copy everything over and have it work. Don't forget to format it to FAT32 before you copy everything over though as some cards come formatted to exFAT which the 3DS can't read

Thanks for the reply, glad to hear it should work out nicely! I'll find a guide for micro sd card transfer once it arrives.

I just received a new 32GB Micro SD card in the mail about two days ago, I just selected all, copied to a folder, then copied to the new sd card and worked flawlessly :)
I now have all the Legit CIAs for US and hoping to get some EUR to run through HANS :3

I would like to do that but I personally have an emuNAND, what is the process ?
The EmuNAND is on it's own partition of the SD card, meaning, not in the visible folders and files that you can see on it. You need to copy all the files that you can see, but also move the EmuNAND partition. Check here.

you need emunandtool. put your old sd card in your pc, start emunandtool and click extract emunand. this will save your emunand.bin to your pc. later you can "inject nand to emunand". but try version 1.0.1.

here is the guide, scroll down:

Guys where can I find a cheap 32GB MicroSD that is real? Because the two I have keep corrupting files, I'm surprised I even got Emunand on it.
The transfer of files in a adapter is 300kb/s where as its faster on microSD Management.
I mean a brand name would be more helpful.
Sorry for hijacking the thread, but it is MicroSD related ^_^

Its simple just drag all your folders over to the new card. Unless you have Emunand then the process is a little different.
actually Nintendo of america website says you should copy the files to the pc then from the pc to the new card (not a direct transfer) but yup that simple

May I ask where the hell you got your cards from? I've never heard of something as absurd as 300 kb/s on a MICRO SD card. What brands are your cards? Any card from a proper manufacturer (my preferred is Samsung) should be fine. Also, read and write speeds and corrupted files can be caused by a bad PC SD card reader. I had a SD adapter that struggled to read cards a lot and transferred at crazy low speeds, but that was an issue with the reader and not the actual card.

Can vouch for that one. The Pro one is even faster.

No idea, my parents got them me for my Phone and other devices, they have no brand so I assume they are fake, or at least really bad.
My PC is fairly new (near 1 year old), built in SD card reader so I doubt it is that, I am using a Kingston MicroSD adapter, all though I do also have a brandless one, they both do the same speed so I suspect its the MicroSD.
Thanks for the information, I really hate these corrupted files ._.

And I'll have a look at that MicroSD, thanks guys :P

Protip, never buy memory cards from China. They are more often than not fake or simply bad quality which could result in slow transfer speeds and/or corruption.
About it, the N3DS can read SD card in Fat32 up to what size?
If I buy a Samsung 64gb it's ok? and 128gb? :D
Should work fine.

I bought mine from Wish.com, they are suppose to be really good even though they seem crappy. You can buy 64GB for $4.

I bought a 32gb sd card from sandisk for 14 bucks in an electronics store. class 10, up to 80mb/s writing speed, meant to be used in digital cameras and stuff.
works good so far. never had trouble with any sandisk storage so far.

honestly, i know these cards have been getting cheaper lately, but usually, a price thats about half of the storage capabilities usually guarantees good quality. its well worth the price.
