Did it work for you?

  • Yes it did :)

  • I have rxTools and it doesn't work :(

Okay so I got my NNID linked to emunand and everything. I can access the eShop using both FMP and HANS and even view my previous downloads, but I can't select any title. I keep getting the 007-2404 error.

On my N3DS I can access the eshop using both Free Multi Patcher and HANS, but using Free Multi Patcher causes error 007-2404 when selecting a title. With HANS, this does not happen and I can view any title.

Great! Glad you were able to figure it out. Sorry if I came off as rude earlier.

Yeah, its a problem with HANS. I am including a rar file with the HANS and eShop files from before the update Smea made recently, which I just tested and allowed me to download updates from the eshop.

After downloading, delete the following files from your sd card and then copy the files in the archive over:

/3ds/hans/titles/eshop.txt
/3ds/hans/titles/ironhax.txt
/3ds/hans/hans.3dsx
/3ds/hans/hans.smdh
/3ds/hans/hans.xml
/3ds/eshop.smdh
/3ds/eshop.xml
/3ds/ironhax.sdmh
/3ds/ironhax.xml

This should allow you to download updates and probably VC games as well again. You will lose the "old version" eshop for downloading Ironfall 1.0, but from what I understand we cannot use that anyways because we are on 9.5.

It will work for all games, cia or cart.

Thanks for this, I couldn't get eshop to download games or updates till I done this.

I read somewhere game updates should install directly from the home menu. I'm guessing this isn't the case as they prompt me to update firmware? Or do they only work on the O3DS with 10.3 emunand?

Also, what is the recommended way to install NVER? I used BBM, but that could maybe be why I'm still getting 007-2404.

Allright here's what worked for me N3ds.

Installed NVER only in Emunand ---Rebooted to Emunand without a brick
Installed FMP via CIA
Ran FMP with the settings in the OP

I was then able to link my NNID, access the eShop and update my games.

Thanks!

Looks like the most easy way to try first from now on, so that's what i'm gonna do :)
(after making an Emunand backup :P )

[EDIT]
Well that didn't work :/
Think ill leave it like it is for now

Didn't you format your EmuNAND and link your NNID already?
If you didn't, this is what you have to do (you wont lose anything at all):
1. Backup your EmuNAND using Emunand9 or the Emunand Tool
2. Copy your Nintendo 3DS directory from the SD card to your PC
3. Boot into EmuNAND, open System Settings and choose Format
4. Boot back into EmuNAND and go through setup
5. Go to System Settings and sign into your NNID (now it will be properly linked to the system ID)
6. Inject the previously back upped EmuNAND to your SD card
7. Move the Nintendo 3DS directory back

And there. Your NNID is now active on your system and you should no longer receive the error.
Well, What I did and worked was:

5.a. Remove menuhax from sysnand, so emunand black screen is solved.
5.b. Boot into the emunand using browserhax
5.c. Install DevMenu, FreeMultiPatcher and HBL cias using FBI already injected into the Health app.
5.d. Use DevMenu to install NVer.
5.e. Use FreeMultiPatcher to spoof eshop, save settings.
5.f. Use HBL cia to open up Homebrew list, open HANS.
5.g. Use HANS to open NNID app without firmware spoofing.
5.h. Link my NNID and celebrate!

Thank you all for your help!

After setting up the console I get a preparing home menu screen and then it's black screen when I boot emunand. What's the problem?

Holding the power off button gives me the option to go back to home or either power off. But if I press home i get stuck on the "Home menu" loading screen.

Could any provide some insight for my question? I've done everything as instructed by multiple users through the thread, but still getting the 007-2404 error when trying to view/redownload games. The only thing I can think of is maybe installing TIGER, but that apparently isn't needed when running through HANS. From what I can gather, the error means that I'm running an old eShop. I changed out the HANS files in the 3ds folder per the instructions several pages back, but still getting the same error.

Have you tried using FMP then clicking on the eShop app?

Do I HAVE to use Dev Menu to install NVER?
Asking because I can't install it with FBI.

If you are using FBI, make sure you are installing it to the NAND destination. You might also have to delete the existing version of NVer first. If you are not comfortable doing this then just use DevMenu.

So just to confirm. I have rxTools with 9.5 emuNAND (with a backup of course). My NNID is currently linked to my emuNAND, not my sysNAND. I've installed the 9.5 NVER from the first page, and the freemultipatcher.cia with the settings in the OP. However, when I run the eshop with HANS (via the hbl.cia) I get that 022-2634 error.

So to fix this I need to format my emuNAND and relink my NNID, correct? Do I just do that as I would on sysNAND (via system settings)? If not, what's the process?

I cannot do that relink force with my N3DS on 9.5 emunand (eur) - whenever I format the memory from settings, I get to initial settings but once done, the 3DS will not just boot anymore, forcing a emuNAND restore and no success. I tried twice already, and the results were same both times.
