Is there any tutorial about how to do a hard mod in a new 3ds xl?

I need to know how to backup, restore (the use of a raspberry in case of a brick) and if the backup can be done with any sd card reader.

Thanks

REALLY!?! A bump after 15 minutes? Wow, in that time you could've used the search functions to answer your question instead of expecting people to jump and answer your question. Talk about entitled...[/rant]

There is no real tutorial. The reason is most people who know how to solder, can make due with the pinouts readily available. When you google "3DS NAND mod" the second link takes you to an outdated video.

Then when you google "N3DS NAND pinout" the first link brings you right back here to GBAtemp. If you combine what you learn from the video with the pinout from the thread, you have everything you need to know.

Ok, so a made the hard mod to my new 3ds xl, here are some photos of the soldering and the screen https://imgur.com/a/xGiWY.

Now the thing is that i cant get my PC to recognize the nand with an external sd card reader.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem? Can it be read using the internal sd card reader of a laptop?

Do know 3ds very very fussy re card readers. Think you'll find lots of info on 3dsbrew/hardware. Very very good job on soldering looks good. Well done you.

Edit....I'm sure you can buy the other bit you need already made up. Check eBay.

I checked the connections and everything is ok, i was hoping that it would work with one of the sd readers but it didnt work... Its like that?
Does it only work in just a few readers?
