I know this is the wrong thread but I need to know something. Using menuhax means I will have to switch to the default 3ds theme?
I ask this because I use a custom theme installed with CHMM.

Yes it won't work with custom themes.

You can install whatever custom theme you want: just put the body_LZ.bin and bgm.bcstm files in the menuhax folder, open the menuhax installer and choose the 'install custom theme' option.

I really like the CN hanafuda theme, but using menuhax seems to be more comfortable than having to start ironfall.

I just gave up on the eject trick and loaded chmm2 then FBI, with no game cartridge in and wifi disabled. Worked! I doubt this will help anyone since it's all quite random, but thought I'd share anyway!

Can confirm this works. Installed menuhax, used it, booted CHMM2, exited it and booted FBI and bam, now installing!

I didnt turn of wifi though.

Perhaps it was Ironhax fault.

In any case, installing NSMB2GE, LMDM and MLDT.

Bummer that the USA region is lacking some titles from EUR :V

My theory on why menuhax seems to works is that you dont launch any game, unlike in irnohax, and this method requires the memchunkhax2, which if I'm not mistaken, its memory/ram related.

You must wait until the first screen says Done at the bottom.

The error you get is because the exploit used to install the cias hasn't loaded.

Anyways, I finished installing the games. Do I need to update dream team? Any reason there's an update to an RPG?
It took like 30 mins to install NSMB2, LM and DT.

Okaay, been at it through a whole day after reading all the tips and such, can't get it to work I have experienced ALL the freeze issues and I still experience them, farthest I have gone was the "Done." after which it freezes.

Specs
-n3ds 13.0.3 28-U (american)
-HBL: mashers Grid
-Exploit: Menuhax v2.1
-cia: New Super Mario Bros. 2 Gold Edition
-Retries: Too many, lost count, spent a whole day doing this, from 12:00 pm to 2:53 pm
-What I did?
~Had NOT luck with Menuhax 2.5, Ironhax or any other exploit, I looked for Menuhax 2.1, also used Smealum HBL
~Opened Menuhax, HBL
~ftbrony, exit with b and b (I had wifi on)
~ftborny again, exit with l+r+down+b
~fbi, got past cleaning up only, restared from hbl
~fbi, got past "done." IT WAS SUPER SLOW or laggy, idk but I had to mash or press the d-pad for like 3 seconds to move through the menu
~installed cia on first try

The game works fine. God, I know this is an unstable release but woah, that's what we get from using unstable stuff, I think we need like a whole specific setup for each individual console.

Anyone with my speecs (at least the console) got it running earlier?

I think it works to try many different things, but I hope a new version of this comes later this week. I can finally play Animal Crossing after my copy broke ;____;

Nice to hear you got it working.
Tested the DLC stuff from the special edition and it works fine. Booted dream team and luigis mansion and they work.
Will play them later, as its almost 4am :v

Now that I think of it, I should have installed 3D land too. I don't know where I have the cartridge as I haven't played it in ages. Might try this again along with Pokemon X and AS to make a second attempt at this worthwhile.

Took many attempts. Had to mess around with having a cartridge in vs. not and starting from ftbrony and also not starting from it

Ultimately it wouldnt work without having a cartridge out but it didn't start doing anything at first until I put one in. I would also exit FBI using the start button, and re-enter it immediately after and sometimes it would work that way.

You have try to install the cia when you were in "Cleaning Up..." stade
You have to get a "Done"

Finally! After 4 days trying!

- System: N3DS
- Sysnand: 10.3U
- Booted HBL with: MenuHax v2.1
- Homebrew Version: Original Smea
- Game: Mario Kart 7
- Did it work: Yes

Notes: i didn't spam "A" button or opened other apps like FTbrony or HANS, just removing battery for quickly turning off.

Now I have a question: I noticed that after installation, FBI didn't close! But at that moment i only had 1 legit cia on the SD... Can i install all the legit cia on a row once the app is properly opened? or i have to suffer the same with each cia?
