Homebrew How to install legit CIA files 9.3-10.3

I meant I replaced the hbl boot with fbi boot and it just won't autoboot, black screen every time

I just gave up on the eject trick and loaded chmm2 then FBI, with no game cartridge in and wifi disabled. Worked! I doubt this will help anyone since it's all quite random, but thought I'd share anyway!

I have to wonder, how do you know if it succeeded?
When you get to the menu asking for a cia file, what did you saw before?

The "Done!" message which after you press a will it take you to the filelist?

For people having trouble, I have some troubleshooting methods you can try. Prior to finding the first method I will mention, I restarted my n3DS XL FW 10.3 50+ times with no luck.

I cannot stress enough that entrypoints do matter! Menuhax is a popular entrypoint as has worked for me. I've heard ironhax works but its too inconsistent for me.

- One method is to disable from a wifi (For o3DS there's a switch on the side of your 3DS and n3DS its in the same menu as themes) then go into Menuhax, boot up ironhax and then press start to get back into the HBL menu. Then go straight into FBI and don't touch anything until it says done. If nothing happens when you press A after it says done, restart. This works for me 8/10 times - roughly speaking.

You can try the above method on any other entrypoint to HBL but it personally worked for me in Menuhax.

- Another method is starting FTBrony and pressing B twice depending if you're on wifi or not and then going into FBI.

- I've heard that pressing A rapidly while FBI is starting up has some luck but for me personally, it got into the menu but always gave me the failure to install the .cia error.

Keep in mind that if you access the FBI UI only after the message says "cleaning up..." will never let you install a .cia It gets you into the menu but it doesn't start the exploit needed to install the legit .cias. Remember, the message needs to say "done"

Yes, I got Done and I pressed A and it went to the CIA file selection screen right away.

You can but no installed files will be transferred, only what you got from the eShop or actual preinstalled content that came on your 3ds.

I'm currently trying with Ironhax.
Managed to get to the Done message twice, but it freezes there.

Might try menuhax, but dunno.

I used menuhax. I was using Ninjhax (which never worked) but since everyone was saying menuhax was more likely to work, and it takes less time to start again each time, I thought I'd finally getting around to installing it.

well, once you install one I suppose you can continue selecting the next, since FBI has initialized properly

You can, but at least for the Eur region with its 16 games you need a 64GB card with not too much stuff on it already (there's about 18GB worth, so 36+GB needed during installation)

Edit: if anybody is going to further mod FBI to make it more stable, they should add a working delete option, or even better, the option to automatically delete each CIA after it is installed before beginning installation of the next one.

Well, I just plan to install the NSMB2 GE, Dream team, smash,and dark moon, since I'm in the USA.

I have over 20GB, so I'm sort of looking for an excuse to use the space lol.

Installing menuhax now, as it seems easier than booting ironfall every time.

I installed all 16 eur cia + Mário and Luigi dreams team at once, so I only had to open FBI once

Pressed X to install all cia in the directory, it installed all the cia automatically, took about 3-4 MH 4 took almost 1 hour

MH4 is 3 or 4gb to install, I guess
