Successful downgrade from 10.1 to 9.2 using Ironhax on 2DS EU. But there is a solution for the black screen? I don't want to lose all of my digital saves...

If you are talking about when you boot it's just a black screen, if you boot without SD card then insert the card when its fully booted you just need to change your theme to one other than default and it should be fine. Worked for me at least.

I downgraded 2DS from 10.3U to 9.2U and CFWed it earlier, thought I'd pop back in to mention I just downgraded my fiancee's 3DS (10.3U)... however...

When using the exact same files, somehow she downgraded to 9.0.0-20U instead of 9.2.0-20U? Very odd. But hey, it worked, she's on CFW now, everything's peachy. Just... weird.

Other than above weird overdowngrade and the issues running sliderhax on 9.2 I had (always download a browserhax ropbin instead of relying on it to download one itself! that fixed that issue) it's been absolutely smooth as butter sailing, the second time only took me I want to say 3 hours total, and that was with a fairly slow microSD card.

Both times I followed the "More Or Less Catch-All Tutorial", though I also poked around to find more detailed steps for sliderhax when it wasn't working for me.

Alright, so I have a 3DS XL that was initially on 10.1, and using the updater app linked in that one tutorial where the guy has a doggie avatar, and 9.2 US firmware files from the pinky MEGA thread, I have successfully downgraded to 9.2. The updater app froze a few times for me, and stopped freezing when I flipped the WiFi switch on. I installed Pasta 3.something, installed the FBI cia, and installed a legit SM3DL cia. Now I am going to play Mario... It plays just fine.

Oh yeah, I was using ninjhax btw.

I already solved, deleting a folder from the SD.

    Only Xbox I don't have is the OG, and One X model specifically, I regret giving my chipped OG model to one of my kids years ago, after later hearing he sold it to pawn shop, damn kids!

    I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856

    I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.

    Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

    @Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint

    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
