The question is why did Hykem say he would release it... And then at the first sign of someone just showing they also have access ...throw his toys out the pram.... Could it be that someone else will share in the attention he was craving?

Release it if you say you would.... Otherwise just f...... Keep it to yourself....but don't be an attention whore.... And then rage quit when a bit of attention goes to the next whore
I don't think it's right to condemn Hykem yet, I think his behavior is vague and childish but I'd wait until we have more info or a few days of silence/noinfo

Yeah, please guys not just hykem. Release or don't say anything about it publicly. Sure you can create some hype but please only do that when you are at least 99.9% sure you will be able to keep your promises. And please don't be like smea (ps. still love you) with SSSpwn (ninjhax). If you want the hype and attention so bad say something like "next week will be release of new IOSU exploit boyzzz." and then actually release next week.

thx.

I think Hykem said that he won't release his IOSU exploit because the other team would probably release it much sooner.
So he's gonna work on the boot exploit.

I'm just saying what I understood.

Here's a tip, You idiot. How about keeping your private exploit to yourself instead of attention whoring? And the whole "Why don't you release an exploit then?" Reply is childish and toxic (judging by your semen slurping "LOVE YOU UR SO GREAT!!!", You're either 12 or brain dead. Here's another tip, There's nothing for people to be angry about if you don't tell them you have an exploit before it's ready or VERY close to release and it's a sure thing.

Do you know why hackers keep doing this though? Because people like Octupus will tell them how great they are and people like Marionumber1 use that as fuel when they jerk themselves off at night

I happen to work on exploits because I find them interesting, not to get praise and "jerk myself off". As for telling people that our userland exploits exist, I do so in response to people asking about it, not for attention. If I wanted attention, I could go far more public about the exploits. I take it you'd prefer for us to lie about what we've achieved?

Not lie, just make it very clear it's a private exploit, that's all I (we?) want.
The problem we are having (with Hykem mostly) is the fact he promised to release his IOSU exploit, and now might (from his posts not at all) release it.

just talking about it isnt bad but saying oh it its going to be released and giving a pretty solid timeframe then say its compete and now working on a new better exploit then quiting is something differnt.

just wish i was smart as these guys able to hack/code like they do.

It was clear that the exploit would not get released until nintendo patched it or someone developed another exploit.
Which Hykem was doing, and we put our faith in him. Then he turned into a baby when someone else found another exploit and decided to "move on".

I'm quite sure that I did clarify, but if it's not released, how is it anything other than a private exploit?
Because by not saying "it's a private exploit", you're saying "not right now but you'll get it later".

LOL why this turned out to be about MN1 ? did you guys forget that the exploits used in 5.3.2 and bellow for all the cool stuff ( game modding, back up loading, spoofing...) were all released by him. Woud you rather he do like Fail0verFlow or all these guys who show off with videos on youtube and never release? xD

I'm new here, I read a lot, never posted before. I seem to remember that Hykem mentionned that he would release the update immediately if another group actually got another one working ? I might be wrong. *shrugs*

Why would people ask in the first place if you never say anything? I can tell your 16 year old ego is lying to me. Just taking a look at your profile, I can see many comments about how great you are and if you think I'll believe you don't care about that, You're even dumber than I take you for.
Any way, I'm not going to argue with an underage. Have fun working 4 DA FUN of it and totally not because it fills your step with a little more spring when someone says " I want to be just like u and ur only 16!!! ur gunna be bell gates xD"
And lookie here, the thread is now about you, bet you like that, huh?

He said he'll release immediately if the other thing he was persuing (a bug that if exploited could allow us have a permanenet exploit) turned out to be unexploitable.

Edit : this thread could use some cleaning for useless arguing again ^^

To be honest I am very disappointed. But on the other side I can understood Hykems decision. Imagine, that you have found the iosu exploit, and exactly at the same time other hackers claim that they have achieved the same. It's just like: hey I found a cure against a disease, but three other guys did it too. No matter what, my respect goes to Hykem. Even if he does not release anything at all, he still gave the wiiu scene a big boost. Only time can clear the fog now...

They are just probably just saying they have the exploits to prevent hykem releasing his as a put down
