Im having the feeling (I could be totally wrong) that my CIA game that i've installed isn't working properly. For the most part it is, but it seems to hang for a millisecond at some loading points. (When im about to enter a new part of the map.) I don't recall the game doing that on .3ds format. Again, i could be just inmagining it

Take out SD card, connect to computer, backup everything from it to your computer and then do a disk check of SD card. There maybe some filesystem errors causing it to not read properly or something.

Well, it is a Class 10 card. Should count for something right?
Nope. I have almost the exact same micro SD on both my old 3DS and my New 3DS, Sandisk Ultra 16GB (New) or 32GB (old). Both Class 10. Well installing the same .cia on both 3DSes at the same time (for local play purposes) feels like looking at Melee on a Gamecube next to Brawl on a Raspberry Pi (the New 3DS with the 16GB one being a lot slower).

Nope. I have a class 10 sdxc uh1(or something like that) that's supposed to be 85-90Mb/s, but only get half that if I'm lucky.
Your reader is probably not UHS compatible. Note that usually only read speed is specified, write speed is always lower.

If you format the SD card with 64 KB cluster size, it will be a bit faster and may eliminate those millisecond delays.

Its at 32Kb atm, will changing to 64 really make a difference?

Also my sd is fat 32. Is that the best format?

if it's Mbits..... than it is true:)
Mbits is correct. Sorry if the caps lock caused confusion. But yes, if I'm lucky it tops out at like 7-8MB/second. It also has to do with the adapter you use. With mine, using the adapter that's in my laptop gets a bit more speed, using a USB adapter gets slower for some odd reason.

adapters are always slower unless you get a usb3 reader its to do with quality of the reader and bus speeds.(they always slow)

Also 85-90mbit is about 11MB in actual speed, so the card you mentioned is really bad lol its slow as hell.

Class 10/UHS1 Means that you should get a Minimum of 10MB/s write Speed to it thats the standard so its barely meeting it

My Class 10/UHS1 Transcend 32gb speeds are as follows

Card Reader inbuilt

43MB/s Read Speed 13.8MB/s Write

USB 2 generic adapter

22MB/s Read Speed 12mb Write

my 64gb Kingston gets faster speeds in read/write but all the reviews i have seen on it are trying to test it in phones and usb2 readers etc so its been getting bad speed reviews
