Hi! sorry it took so long to make an update, I compiled Nestopia with the VC palette, Gambatte and Mednafen Lynx for both 1.3.0 and 1.0.0.2.

Regarding mame2003 I have some kind of good news, I managed to compile every cpu, sound driver and driver boards without issues, of course the Wii low ram memory cant load a huge .dol file around 25 mb in size, but the point is that by making this, its just a matter of editing the driver.c file and adjust (add or delete) a number of games of different manufacturers and recompile it again (this doesnt mean every rom could work), it'll be a long task btw. I'm trying to build another new core: "final burn alpha v0.2.97.37", the common fba alpha core for Wii it's an outdated version (0.2.97.30 iirc), I'm sure this new version will fix some games with garbled sprites or slow gameplay. I hope I can work on this soon, next week will be an x-mas mess :D

Well. I think will not be a problema if we have 2 or 3 mame cores, the important is the games runs good. Maybe you can make, for exemple, first core, "Mame games A to G, second core H-Q..." Or made cores by ocmpany "Sega Mame" Konami Mame", "Data East Mame"...

Do any of the new MAME cores load Battletoads?
not yet

All right! I just finished uploading latest version of the custom 1.0.2 RA, including @zerofalcon 's cores (mGBA, Lynx, updated Nestopia, updated Gambatte, MAME 2000), all set up and ready to play. Just download the .zip and extract to your SD card :)

- Roms for each console go to the respective subfolder in the = RETRO folder.
- All cores are configured with custom folders, borders (for portables), aspect ratios etc.
- All cores are renamed after the system they emulate, so it is easy to know what each plays, even for newbies.
- Bios files and system files are included and preconfigured.
- Please note that 3 cores (Doom/prBoom, MAME 2000/iMame4all and Lynx) require restart between roms loaded, so if you decide to load a new rom, make sure to select "restart retroarch" first and then load the new rom you want to play.

P.S. I also attach a border for Atari Lynx, in case anyone wants to test it

I have a problem with @zerofalcon MAME 2000 core. Almost all my games have garbled graphics, anyone knows a possible solution? Thaks in advance

The emulator is not perfect(yet!) some games will have problems like slowdowns or strange graphics. Try this list, these will not have the garbled problem:

Thanks! 1.0.0.2 work great, but the 1.3.0.0 do not work, with exception of the Lynx core. They report on the lower part of the screen after you load the core in retroarch "1.3.0 - No Core". Input doesn't respond after that and you have to turn off the Wii.

Out of curiosity for the lynx core users: what does this improve over the already existing version included in the 1.3.0 nightlies? 1.0.0.2 i can understand since it's not present, but what about the latter?

For Prosystem core users, so far it looks like this core is not completely compatible with all games. Double Dragon comes to mind, so far it's better to use Wii7800 (which includes some nice standalone options)

Thanks for this effort, maybe they could be split by drivers (MK drivers, Taito, etc.)

Merry Christmas everyone!

I just wanted to share sth i recently found out while gaming, that the RA FBA core supports savestates in some games (Madshark, Outrun, etc.). Quite handy.

I also messed a little with latest FBA (0.2.97.37) on my PC, it fixes games like Toki, Blood Bros (had slow sound in previous FBA versions) or games like Madshark (had no music before). Thing is, when the RA Wii core will be based on that version, it could incorporate those improvements.

@zerofalcon It's possible to you (or someone) made these extra cores become plugins for Wiiflow (especially Atari2600 and the mame cores)
I've been using these as plugins in wiiflow just fine. The only one that has issues is pro system Atari 7800. Can we please have some more system cores like these.

I mean change them to work witb wiiflow when we select the game using the boxes
You don't need to change them. Look at the plugins for the main retroarch cores and use them as a template to create new plugins for these cores. It's that simple. Pro system doesn't seem to be taking command line arguments so it doesn't auto start a rom parsed from command line. Vectrex works awesome and my setup it parses the overlay file as well to match the rom.

I tried. Worked for Nestopia and Stella. Mame 2000 and 078 not worked

Would it be possible for someone clever to compile wii cores of o2em, Fuse, Hatari and MESS? Also could someone also do a Mednafen NGP version 1.0.2 with 1.3.0 frontend? If not is there a tutorial on how to do it?

I ask for a o2em in another post, it's a hard work, the author don't shared the source code. I want an new port of o2em (or a new core) because the emulators are not good enough

@zerofalcon these new releases include UStealth support?

I'm going to update the link with the precompiled cores with UStealth support, feel free to test and share if they really work, afaik this is not implemented officially within RA and may trigger some issues.

The o2em core is not compatible with the Wii cpu architecture (big-endian), same as tgbdual, gpsp, picodrive... Hatari suffers compilation/port status issues, a no-go for the Wii. Last time I compiled Fuse never worked for me, I remember the issue was something about the file system. The Wii covers a good 70% of all the available cores, unfortunately not every core can be compiled/ported for the console.
