That's some advanced level wizardry, and we are clearly not wizard harry!
Yes, those suck. All those websites are like "haiiii ddudeszz we give free stufff butwaii we have human verification ookkkayy?" And they make it look like some fancy program they would have downloaded on your computer.Well there are website that are like "FREE ESHOP CODE GENERATOR!" then you have to do a sevey to get them and you have to do a sevey to complete the sevey to get the code and you need to- you see where im going with this?
I have never even gotten to that point... just "complete a survey... complete a survey... press continue... complete a survey"Usually this kind of site requires a "survey", """"""""free"""""""", but then it ask the phone number to proceed to the next download step...
*Puts on broken glasses.*
Actually, book 7 makes it clear that wizards are not capable of creating money. I mean... Don't ask why, they just say they can't. They can make a stone that prevents death but they can't counterfeit money. Now bitcoin on the other hand...
OkAt what point does it not become money however? Because really it's not technically money but strings of code showing a digit that you happen to purchase with money. So would that bypass due to technicality?
Also yeah, this kind of stuff is too much to hope for and if it were possible, it would be swatted down the minute Nintendo caught wiff of the situation.
I bet nintendo would be likeEven if you could do that (which would require literally hacking into a remote server and altering financial transaction data), big companies have accountants who would immediately notice that something was off, and if you only modified your own account, well.... they might not have the hardest time figuring out who caused the problem.
I used to work on software for payroll transactions at a university that processed millions of dollars of said transactions per month. They would throw a fit if the results were off expectations by one cent. I'm sure you can imagine how Nintendo would react to something similar.
Most of the world's money is digital though. Lets say Bill Gates has 1 billion in a specific bank. Do you think that they have 1 billion actual dollars set aside for him just in case he decides to cash out? When you start dealing with the big bucks, it's all strings of data. Also it would screw up their accounting department because unlike pirating a game, which gives them no money, this is tricking them into thinking that they are getting money which would throw off their entire ecosystem. They could end up in big trouble if they were audited and the auditing team discovers that they have all this extra cash that didn't exist. At what point does it not become money however? Am on a forum or a FUCKING SCHOOL!? *slams door*Exactly. The whole world's finances exist as a series of transactions, debits on one side, credits on the other side - exactly the same as when people just wrote it down in previous centuries. If you add money to one side of the ledger that didn't come from anywhere, there's zero chance somebody's not going to notice that. Since we don't have a metal monetary standard anymore, that's the only possible way we can keep track of who has what.
It has a question mark in the title. This title just screams "clickbait". Please either close the thread (since it's been answered) or add [Question] to the title.

Ooooh wizards. Yeah everyone in Harry Potter not named Minerva McGonagall is a complete idiot who wouldn't think of it.I was more talking about the point of when wizards can bypass it, not disputing it in a real life setting.
It was changed by a moderator. It used to have [TUTORIAL][RELEASE] in the title and no question mark.It has a question mark in the title.
And "Can you...?" it's not clickbait.
