what fw version are you in?also if you want to update the payload you can reinstall ironhax if you have another hbc entry point
You don't need another HB entry point if you already have ironfall hax, load HBL through your IronFall and run the irenhax installer again (make sure you downloaded latest starter pack, it gets updated often (like 2days ago)newer versions of many of the emulators use the newer payloads so get older versions

This will update your old ironhax to latest ironhax
You already have one. You have multiple save slots under IronFall and you also have the 3DS's build in Save-Data Backup tool. Just backup your save before messing with the ironhax save and/or have a backup save slot.i know but its always better to have a backup plan for hbc
