Hykem said to everyone that his IOSU exploit will work up to 5.5 (include 5.3.2), people still think that will work only on 5.3.2. LOL
@Hykem It would be cool to speak on this topic as is the progress because neither @Mathew_Wi know.
In reality though, the more people working on an exploit (or exploits) the better - it allows for more entrypoints down the road and makes it easier for users to work with, as there's options.

Most of the IOSU has been reverse-engineered and I'm still updating the wiki almost daily: http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges
I already have an exploitable bug that should work up to firmware 5.5.0 and naehrwert is working on something too (currently for lower than 5.2.0 firmwares). When everything is ready it will be publicly released (at least on my end).

No clue what @Mathew_Wi is up to, but he did work with @Marionumber1 to get the 5.3.2 firmware exploit working (debugging via DevKit) and he found the MP4 bug test case that's being used to exploit 5.4.0/5.5.0 (which turned out to be a libstagefright bug, way before the controversial presentation).

It surprises me that most people seem to consider this opportunity as a chance to get hacks/backup loading before an official release.

Testing can be tedious, and you may risk your Wii U 's life over it.

great to see others stepping up. under other circumstances i would say it would be better for developers to work together and work as a team to share ideas etc. but with the wii u, progress has been so slow since tweezers presentation years ago now - i would say every person who knows his stuff and is finding exploits - all the better.

I was unaware of your progress with IOSU. Congrats.

My Wii U is on 5.4.0 and is gathering dust because I can't do anything with it.
Nothing of value would be lost. :P

It suprises me how negative and ungreatful most people are.

Mr A : "Hey everyone, here is some free stuff I worked hard on. Its potentially going to benefit you all and I just wanted to update anyone who might be interested. Thank you for your time."

Most people : "What? Why didn't you give it to us yesterday and fix all the problems and make it wipe my ass. You suck!!! Some other guy did this already and its 100 times better. Blah blah..."

Where is the incentive to do anything for anyone?

Thank you to share sr.
I think that WiiU Scene can gain a Christmas gift this year but the Devs are like our mothers: are hiding gifts until the day.

Last question just to finish and dont bother you.
You have a Kernel Exploit 5.5.0 working too different from MN1 & team?
How many Kernel Exploit have working on 5.5.0? Still only 1?
There are more than one just one that functions best.

@OP: Pm me a list of the hardware you need. Now you are speaking my language. On that note some of my more expensive equipment I may be willing to loan out. But honestly there are many portable solutions just let me know what you need and I may be able to hook you up with most if not all of it.

Hey, I'm willing to test, I will provide lots of feedback as often as possible. I'm also a little interested on developing the hacks. I have a Wii U 5.5.0U so if you need people with that firmware version, I'm open. I also have skype text and email to communicate and provide private feedback.

Are the people you hacked the thing when Mario Kart first came out members here? I think the wiiu was 3.x firmware. I always figured it was one of you guys, but I dont remember seeing it before.

Well, considering Hykem is pretty much finished with IOSU, I don't think I'll need anything for a good while. I've edited the main post.
Yea I saw, very nice. Along with the StageFright history.

Just for curiosity, what would you have used?
A super expensive logic analyzer? Or some kind of hardware that can tap into the RAM or manipulate/execute the PPC cpu commands?
