I've got individual SMDHs launching each ROM so exiting RetroArch in that way is not possible for me.
Kinda. Each SMDH launches individual .3dsx emulators which launch directly into the associated ROM without any menus. So there's one SMDH and .3dsx per ROM.Meaning you have each game as a home menu entry that launches into retroarch booting that game? o.O
I was just saying that people should actually give an answer to a question before giving reasons as to why the question is stupid. Thanks though, would editing the font color to black be possible?@swaggon No, you can't currently do that in RetroArch. Also, people will discuss things separate from what you'd like them to discuss, so you should learn to deal with that, too.
This sounds interesting. I'd like to see this in action. Would also be nice if this could be done with CIAsKinda. Each SMDH launches individual .3dsx emulators which launch directly into the associated ROM without any menus. So there's one SMDH and .3dsx per ROM.

You got an answer to your question a page ago, then we started discussing the reason someone might want this functionality. If it's something you hope to see added to RetroArch in the future, it will probably help to justify adding this behavior with some reasoning, so discussing it served to give you an opportunity to explain why you feel it should be added.@swaggon Why would you want to disable the text but keep the screen running? That's just going to sap your battery. You can go into Settings > Logging and turn Logging Verbosity OFF to reduce the amount of text, but I'm not aware of a way (or a reason) to display a blank screen.

using RetroArch in an unexpected way which somehow prevents you accessing the menu.
Sleep mode seems to work well if activated during gameplay. Problem occurs like you described when sleep mode is activated within RetroArch menu.Is it normal that Retroarch still freezes or create audio-visual bugs when using Sleep Mode? I'm on N3DS, fw 10.1 and hack 2.5. Sleep mode works fine in the homebrew channel and I'm pretty sure I have 2.5 correctly installed as I can enter the eShop through HANS.
Thanks for testing these! Great taste in games.Testing a handful of non-CPS-1/2/Neo Geo ROMs on daxtsu's FBA core build under YouTube on a New 3DS with 9.9, the following all work:
Basically seems to be functioning very well outside of performance on more advanced titles. I wasn't expecting this at all.
- bublbobl (Bubble Bobble, 60FPS)
- flicky (Flicky, 60FPS)
- pang (Pang, 60FPS)
- spang (Super Pang, 60FPS)

Each individual instance of the cia emu required for each individual rom would require a unique title id... not impossible to create, but highly unlikely.I think this would be amazing. I would love to have all my SNES games shown as icons on the homescreen rather than launching the emulator and browsing a text list. It's certainly not a priority function but it's something I would prefer aesthetically.
Alright, since there's no official writeup can someone sum up the new MAME core?
Damn, time to get myself a >8 GB SD then. xDOn a new 3ds i was getting a solid 59 frames on sonic cd.....
