I'm aware that the stock for screens has dried up. I'm looking to buy one. Tons of sellers on ebay. I'm looking for one done by somebody with great pride in his/her work and attention to detail. Perfectly aligned screen. No dust under the lens.. That kind of thing. I don't want to spend the top dollar that these go for on some dude/dudet with shitty (or even average) modding skills.

EDIT: Guess this should have gone in the GBA section.. Derp!

So, is there a replacement screen I can install in GBA, or does it have to be the 101 screen?
If there is replacement screen, can you tell me where to buy it (along with the flat cable converter)?
I don't want a non native resolution display, because it isn't clear if isn't in native res.

I wish there was a replacement screen. You have to use a 101 screen. Which looks great until you notice the bluring due to low response time. I've also read its only 50hz. Even says so on Wikipedia heh

Damn... :(
I found already modded GBA, and probably will buy that instead.
Original GBA is IMHO the best shaped GBA, and it also has regular/rechargeable AA batteries (yes, I take this as a + ).

I had several DS lites, the first one had problems with d-pad (diagonals were impossible), other had blurring screen, and the third one is perfect (first two EUR, last one USA model).

I bought the already modded one. It arrived today, and it's fantastic, the screen is awesome, no ghosting or something like that!
The guy who modded it, also replaced the original front plastic screen with the glass one.

I love it ;)

EDIT: The only downside is, that it's too expensive... (98 GBP).
Here' s the link to the guy, I bought it from:

Crap, that is expensive. I did mine myself for cheap. Bought the adapter off eBay, found a broken GBASP AGS101 through a local seller and throw it into my GBA console.

Well, you say it is expensive but.... If you live in the UK like I do all your parts (apart from GBA donor) has to come from the US & China and the postage means costs for parts (especially the AGS101) is expensive. If you manage to get an AGS-101 you will be looking at around £60 (inclusive of P&P) from the US (around $85), then there is the donor GBA, probably looking at around £15 for that (around $21), then there is the replacement case, around £5 (around $7), then the ribbon cable at around £6 (around $8). That is a total of £86 just for the parts! Add in the build time that it takes and you can see just why these things are expensive.
