I got the starter pack and when I launched the eShop app it redirects to HANS. I tried various settings and it would fail to go to the eShop as I would like for it to do. Also is the DNS suppose to be set to automatic or homebrew DNS when accessing the eShop this way?

I'm running on 10.1, original 3DS.

P.S. I really admire the warning for asking questions in regards to cia installion for 3DS. Must be an influx of newcomers lately.

Automatic DNS, you have to reach Nintendo servers to enter the eshop, Tubehax DNS blocks them.

Influx? IT'S RAINING NOOBS ALL OVER GBATEMP, not that is a bad thing, but they don't use the Noob paradise, rather make a new thread for every single question...

Yeah I'm talking about the warning you see before posting a topic. I found it funny that its come to that because of how bad its been lately.

I had the same problem. Did you update the payload?
If your talking about the boot.3DSx file then yes. Thats not my problem right now, I'm just asking what settings I'm suppose to put when it redirects to HANS I have no idea whats correct.

Payload isn't boot.3dsx. If you are using themehax, you should have themehax_payload.bin or something like that on the root of your sd card. Get new one from here http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ and replace the old one with it. Eshop spoof shouldn't even redirect you to hans settings

I currently have two bin files on the root of my SD card (menuhax_ropbinpayload and POST5_U_21504_usa_9221). Are both suppose to be replaced or just one?

When I replace both or just one it either gives me an error message to power off the 3DS or the eshop app still redirects to HANS, in short I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Can you check if other features of 2.5 work? (like sleep mode)

Sleep mode does not work. Something is definitely wrong here.
Rename POST5_U_21504_usa_9221.bin to menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin. It will replace old payload with the new one if POST5_U_21504_usa_9221.bin was downloaded from http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ Then run themehax (it may freeze on yellow screen sometimes, if it happens try again)

Alright I renamed the file and its currently the only .bin on the root of my SD card. However I'm getting the yellow screen freezes as you mentioned before twice in a row. Now it just freezes white with the static screen on top.

Is menuhax_ropbinpayload the only .bin I should have on the root?

I think you need otherapp payload too, go to http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ again and download it (remember about choosing right 3ds version), rename it to ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA21504_old3ds.bin and place it on the root of your sd card

I went to http://smealum.github.io/3ds/ and set the payload to OLD 10.1.0.27 U, then I selected "Download otherapp" and renamed the file ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA21504_old3ds.bin then placed the file on the root of the SD. Then I selected "Download ropbin" and renamed the file menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin.

Whenever I load themehax I either get the white screen or yellow screen, I just cant get themehax working anymore.

Try removing "USA" part from ropbinpayload_menuhax_USA21504_old3ds.bin, if it won't work I have no idea what's wrong , as it's working correctly for me.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
