Oh great, another piracy hater. This is good news and I hope someone saves this version of the hack so that people who still have the sky3ds can make use of it for as long as they can. I was lucky to get an 4.5 O3DS and sold my sky. I would have loved for this to have happened while I still had it although CW is far better than sky.

Still, do you have any proof of this bypass? A video would be nice.

And please, explain how you tested Triforce Heroes. As fas as I know, there's no way to copy the game to the sky3ds without the template update.

For now at least. Surely they'll come up with something new. I was also rather surprised that games running on a GW also work through HANS (Although the one game I wanted to have work to get screenshots and still be able to exit the game sanely fails to a yellow screen...)
Well, I mean, they can come up with another card if they want. Whether people buy it or not is a completely different matter. Why would you spend money on a new card when you can achieve the same result for free with HANS?

Nah, I meant they as in Nintendo and the AP method. They'll have to come up with something new, this one was bypassed in just a matter of days after discovering it.

snorting with laughter as I scroll through this thread because time and time again it needs to be brought up that piracy is just as illegal as making backup copies; uploading a 'pirated' game to the internet is about the same as saying "Here's my backup, play with it if you want", just with a different name and really stupid fear aura around it.

It's not free it costs 80 euros for a Sky or 100 or so for an exploitable 3ds or 160 for exploitable 3ds + gateway...jut buying one game a year costs roughly 40...it's actually cheaper to buy a couple of games than to pirate them...at least the first time...I suppose it becomes rentable in the long run...I just don't go around with 160 euros to spend in one go...

Oh yeah, can't wait to see what they come up with. It's surely going to be interesting, I wonder if it'll fuck us CFW users over as well.
Or maybe they won't. With the NX on the horizon they should probably focus resources on making that system more secure instead, in my opinion.

It's silly how, despite claiming that piracy is bad, @ringo1206 still went and pirated a game to try it with his Sky3DS.
Somehow, I can't help but believe that someone who legitimately did not show any interest in piracy would go out of their way to download the Japanese version of a game they already own, only to test whether or not it runs using a piracy solution.
I am not even considering the fact that a game which relies on text as much as Animal Crossing would presumably be quite difficult for foreigners to play, resulting in it being a silly, fruitless endeavour, all in all.

No, it definitly is not. It's called piracy.
You are clearly on the wrong site then if you are against piracy.
This is a great thing for users of this card.

Anyone who thinks piracy is good if a 9 year old shit head that wants everything for free. Don't even try to argue.
There are more people who buy 3DS games than there are people who pirate them, it's not destroying Nintendo.

Some people (like me) pirate shit because we can't afford many wants after we spend money on the things we need, like paying rent and buying food for the week. Another reason is because we want to try games that don't have demos before we buy, so we don't waste our money if the game we buy ends up being a total piece of shit.
Also, pretty much everyone I know buys games that they pirate if they end up liking them, and when they have the money.

Couldn't have said that better myself!
