Homebrew HANS Bypasses The New AP Check For Sky3DS Users

Yes, the unfortunate truth.

Smealum's new HANS application, meant for ROM Hacking, New 3DS CPU tune-ups, Language changing and more, bypasses Nintendo's New Anti Piracy check.

This check was implemented on Newer 3DS games, effectively and indirectly killing Sky3DS's compatibility with these games.

Some Games That Were Affected By This Are:

​

• Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer​
• Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon​
• Legend Of Zelda Triforce Heros​

Gateway users were quickly accommodated by this, as the firmware is easily upgradable.

I have tested this with my Sky3ds and the Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer JPN ROM (t o which I own the USA version)

Hopefully Smealum patches this soon.

I don't really have a problem with piracy...I don't do it because it costs more money in one time than just buying 1 or 2 game a year...

is it considered piracy too...if i want smeallum to fix HANS to be able to buy add-on content from in-game without updating from 9.9 ?

He probably knew. There were some people a while ago who tested an unreleased copy of RegionFive for him (to see if games like Majora's Mask would work). At least one person here and on Twitter mentioned it even though nobody else would confirm it at the time

It's too late for Smea to do anything about it now even if he could. It's out there and it's not going away.
