You're using the A button? It is noted in the README that it doesn't work for everyone, for some mysterious reason. Dimok said that it works 100% of the time for him but never for golden45. Looks like you might be on that side of the magic line.
The Auto boot function was working all the time for me without failure when I first installed the new revision but now I cannot get it too Auto boot into Smash at all. I thought it was a really great touch but now nothing for me for some odd reason. Do you just press A or do you have to hold it down or press anything else in between? maybe there is a timing to it or something in particular you have to do? the Smash disc certainly boots up in the drive to hear its working but it wont actually Auto boot into it.

No special procedure. A for autoboot, X for regular boot (in loadiine menu, not installer (server/no server) menu). It has to be a bug of some kind.

Start a game with A like normal, then exit and go to mii maker. Pick a new game. It should autoboot.

I'm trying to find out if this is the same for everyone who's console it doesn't work on first run.

Yes agreed, that would be a very good idea. I'm finding it quite confusing that it worked great on the first few try's but now nothing I thought it was maybe to do with the way I was doing it, like holding A longer or maybe for a certain amount of less time etc..or was I holding something down with it, I'm not sure now.

Can you tell me if it autoboot after doing that for you?

For example on my wii u, this is what works fine:

loadiine -> pick game -> no autoboot -> home menu -> smash disc -> exit -> mii maker -> pick game -> autoboot -> exit -> mii maker ->pick game->autoboot->exit etc etc etc

Restarting my Wii U, I have to start above all over.

I will give that ago and let you know. When I first pasted over the code in my loadiine folder the auto boot worked on the first go and a good few after that but when I shut the wiiu down and went back into it again much later, it never worked again.

I try to use the newest build from dimok at the moment.

My folder structure should be all right, but it won't accept my SD card for some reason.

SD card not found or cannot be mounted.

Is this a common error? Could it be that the folder names should have no blanks in the name..?

root: wiiu\

wiiu\games
wiiu\saves

wiiu\games\Hyrule Warriors Ver. 1.7.0

wiiu\games\Hyrule Warriors Ver. 1.7.0\code\[copied .rpx data]
wiiu\games\Hyrule Warriors Ver. 1.7.0\content\[copied game data]

wiiu\saves\Hyrule Warriors Ver. 1.7.0\saves\c
wiiu\saves\Hyrule Warriors Ver. 1.7.0\saves\u

Edit: It is exFAT.. error found?

Edit 2: Yes, it works now. : )

Still have never got it to autoboot, even with that sequence.

It didn't auto boot for me, and I did this without even realizing it. Exited a game, then selected a different game from Mii Maker, and it just instantly booted the game. I didn't even see the Smash screen.

Hi all,
I'm kind of new into all this kernel stuff, and am getting a bit confused... Help please!!!

I'm trying to dump my save data for DK:TF using Saviine, but am not sure how to 'run the Saviine app' once the kernel exploit has successfully run. How is the folder structure on the SD card supposed to look? At the moment, I'm running the kernel exploit, then loading the Wii U internet browser again, then not sure where to go from there.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hold off, because Saviine 1.0 is out! (but not in my OP yet and the folder structure has changed)

If you download and replace Saviine 0.3 with the 1.0, then extract the server zip, you can follow:
Saviine 1.0 README said:
Folder structur:
logs/ <-- logs
saviine_root/dump <-- the save files will be dumped here. A sub folder for each game will be created (name is the game title id)
saviine_root/inject <-- place the saves here if you want to inject them

dumping:
--- MAKE SURE THAT THE SAVIINE SERVER IN A FOLDER WITH A SHORT PATH! some gamefiles have some really really long names. e.g. D:/saviine/ ---
- open the dump.bat or start the saviine_server.exe with the argument "dump"
- launch a game
- a dialog should appear, select if you want to dump the user and/or the common data
- the data will be dumped to saviine_root/dump/[game_title_id]/80000000x (user data) and/or saviine_root/dump/[game_title_id]/common (common)
- close the game and dump an other

Thanks for the reply.

But as I mentioned, I'm not sure how to setup the sd card so that saviine loads. Once the exploit is run, are you supposed to go back to the menu and open up the game? Or open up the browser again and do something?

I used a webpage kernel exploit if that helps.

Thanks.

I think we've got some miscommunication here. Saviine is to back up your official saves. Once backed up you can put them into the proper folders on your SD card for use with Loadiine, to continue where you left off with the disc/eShop version. The file(s) in "vol/save/80000000x" need to be moved to your "wiiu/saves/[gamename]/u" folder on your SD card. The file(s) in "vol/save/common" need to be moved to your "wiiu/saves/[gamename]/c" folder.

So once you have them in the right folders, you run the Kernel Exploit and then Loadiine and it will pick up the save files.

EDIT: Don't forget to back up your saves to a USB drive before using Saviine in case something goes wrong.

Ha! Thanks again for the reply - there's definitely miscommunication here!

I'll try and break it down to make more sense.....

I own DK:TF and have the disc. I'm halfway through the game and want to backup the save data so that I can continue the game through loadiine.

I am a bit confused with the steps to achieve this (dumping the save data). I run the exploit successfully, but then (from the Saviine thread):

"Relaunch browser and launch saviine app, set saviine server ip in the application with up/down/left/right, and press A to install saviine. if you see crap on the screen, press up/down to fix it."

How do you 'launch the saviine app' through the browser? What needs to be on the SD card to launch the saviine app, and in what folder structure?

Hope that helps. Again, really appreciate the time taken to reply.

So I understand people use firmware spoofing to go on to the eshop etc. If a game came out with 5.5 on it would spoofing to 5.5 prevent the disc installing an update?

Saviine isn't stored on the SD card, it is hosted locally or on someone's site, accessible on the same page the exploit is. Or should be anyway. I host my own files and it is an option.

option a: download saviine and host the html + elf files somewhere.
option b: use the url of somebody who hosted saviine (

start the server (is a zip in the release), then run the kernel exploit (press a for normal exploit).

now restart the server, and open your selfhosted saviine url or (http://maschell.de/saviine/). Now you have to choose the ip of the pc where is the saviine running. Press a and the browser should close again.
Start a game, and a dialog should appear on the pc. Which the files you want to dump and press okay. after a few seconds you have the save on your pc

You need to run the Kernel Exploit before you try running Loadiine.

No problem, glad to help :) Ohhh, I see your problem. Youre running the kernel exploit from EclipseSin's site, but he doesnt have Saviine up there yet. Like others have mentioned, you need to either self host the files or find somewhere that has hosted them online for you.

EDIT: FIX94 and wj44 don't have it on their sites either. You might have to learn to self-host!
