IDk all I can think of is this...

I first setup an internet connect and it started to download the recent update ( my wii u hasn't been connected to isp in long time)
but before it could finish I changed the DNS. so it stopped the update ( thankfully it did or else maybe it wouldnt have happened like it did)
when I recently unblocked the MAC it must have gave internet access and it tried contacting the update servers or just looked like it. it could've just been a glitch since the average user isn't going to try blocking updates and if an update was in progress and it keeps trying to contact those servers but cant it may result in what I was experiencing .

so what I think is it had that corrupt download file in memory that it would always try to grab and continue to download which it couldn't
possibly since I had a partial update going/corrupt it made it look like DNS/url blocking wasnt working.

as of now I have MAc unblocked... I can reset my WiiU multiple times run the exploit page and run update deleter etc... it never asks me to update and also it doesnt say some files failed to download there is nothing trying to be downloaded now.

So hopefully it was all just a glitch or something and infact the DNs/URL filter is actually working...

Idk why it would say the system is about to be updated and the only option was to hit "ok" but by powering off my system I bypassed it and i was still able to access the WiiU menu. which if there was an update being forced a hard reset shouldnt stop it. or maybe it would IDk how this system works. lol


Well all I care is that im still on 5.3.2U with kernel access and my localhost is working like it should with MAC UNblocked if it changes Ill be sure to post haha.

Ah interesting. FWIW, I sometimes get the red X with the "Some data failed to install" message (or something similar to that, I don't remember exactly) when my Wii U returns to the pause menu from running a hack. But I've never been told my system was updating lol. Cheers.

need help. I am having trouble saving , tried normal loadiine , and dimok , but none of the 2 saved , also already deleted the save of the SSB . I have 3 games in Card ( pikmin , yww , nintendoland ) no saves . I have another card , with Captain Toad and saved normal. any idea?

Are your folders correct on your SD card ?

Can you post the contents of the root of your SD Card?
And the contents of the _SAV directory ?

I need ya help. Currently I have a 5.5.0E Wii U which means I might wait a long time for the exploit of this FW. However, if I buy a new Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle, I should be on like FW 5.3.2E which allows me to use the current exploit.
My question is, can I transfer my Games, Saves (Wii U Data Transfer tool) etc. from my current Wii U (5.5.0) to a "new" Wii U (5.3.2) without being forced to update to 5.5.0?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Contact Nintendo and tell them you need to transfer your NNID and games to a new console. Then use the kexploit+NNUpatcner to redownload games through eShop. Only problem is that you won't get save data transferred, just tickets

I guess that's answer enough. My saves are very important to me as I have put many time and effort into 'em. So just buying a new Wii U and transfer the stuff over will not work. Have to wait for the 5.5.0 exploit then... :/

I often lurk in the shadows of the forum, but had to emerge because I had a stupid problem with saves that most people wouldn't even think to troubleshoot. It was a noob move from myself that I must say I was ashamed when I finally worked it out, I had the read only switch on my sd card so it was playing games etc but never saving. Maybe something you could check. If not the smart people here should be able to get to the bottom of it.

HomebrU Launcher is the same old edited index.html. Improvements are that it does the same as FIX94's page and minimizes as many redirects as possible by checking the version first and then jumping straight to the correct payload. It's also only a combined 22.9KB. I haven't had any issues or freezing yet.

The only downside is that I had to bake the images into the PNG and then compress it. I've included the editable PNG here for anyone that wants to change the images or add/remove rows.

Just tried the latest definitive pack. I can load the exploit just fine but it always freezes when I select loadiine. Previous pack only ever froze when loading the exploit. Was there always a chance for it to freeze while loading loadiine or is there something else going on?

There Must be some mistakes in the loadiine folder. The Browser says to me " you dont have permissions @

@ fiveighteen I dont test the last pack now, but a friend said : when start TCP Gecko, it' Loadiine will execute...
I test that in 3 hours for confirmation.

Sorry, it's not Loadiine but Dumpiine will execute when it launches TCP Gecko...

What FW version are you on, and does it really freeze every time? I'm not sure how the exploit really works internally to load the files after it, but I imagine there is a small chance to freeze. It used to freeze 100% of the time using individual icons, but now its just one compressed background (like the Mario one was), so there shouldn't be much of a difference. The file size of this one is actually even smaller than the Mario one. I can probably make the background even smaller, now that I think about it. I'll try it and reupload tonight.

Maybe this will be included in the next pack.
I think that's only needed on certain servers? Mongoose seems to handle it fine, but I'll try it in the next one just for compatibility :)

The index definitely points at TCP Gecko. If you type your IP and port and then /tcpgecko/payload532.html it should still load.
Ex: http://192.168.1.239:8080/tcpgecko/payload532.html
Maybe the image map for the buttons doesn't stretch when you zoom in and out of the page :( If you try to load Cafiine, what happens?

Fiveighteen, for me dumpiine button does not work, and all the buttons have been shifted down. TCPGecko button loads Dumpiine, NNU Patcher button for WUP installer, etc. To run the update remover, I have to hit where the button would be in the blank spot where the button should be.
