That's actually something I wonder if someone has tested. What happens if you try to run a N3DS game using R4 on O3DS? Has anyone even tried?

It'd probably act like the retail cart, giving you an error message that it's only compatible with New 3DS. I imagine if you tried to launch it directly using RegionFive/DevMenu/whatever that bypasses the Home Menu, it'd probably just black screen or crash.

buy a Sky3DS almost exclusively for Cubic Ninja (and to future-proof for other games with possible exploits) and Smea goes and releases Ironhax before it arrives.

I crack and order a 9.0 n3DS off Ebay almost exclusively for the NTR clockspeed plugin, and Smea goes and makes that just a normal feature before it arrives.

I'm convinced Smea is intent on making me waste my money at this point. Good news guys, I bought a Gateway too so emuNAND should be announced for HBL 3.0 pretty soon!

i was gonna get a n3DS for that very same reason and tbh i'm not really sure what advantages there are to have cfw other then that, installing cia's i guess?

So when he says we can run eshop games does that mean downloads, and will it let us download games from other region eshops? Really excited for this development!

More like, if you are able to download them on the system they are supposed to be on, then you can change the language, if they include it.

N64 emulation is miles behind PSOne, Wii or even PS2 emulation. Stagnant for a VER long time, is an unoptimized mess that shits the bed whenever you get it out of the comfort zone that are the games developed with the standard microcode. Even with GlideN64, it can put a powerful CPU on its knees easily.

N64 emulation it's still on a early stage in my opinion. Before porting it to any other machines the people involved should get their shit together and stop the curse they started.
Funny because my raspi runs games perfectly fine with mupen64plus

You know what I mean...things seem to effortlessly run on the newer machine, looks like it'll be a struggle to get mgba running at a decent speed on O3DS for example...where as it more or less does already on N3DS.

Sod it...I'm getting a N3DS next week...why the hell not?
