Since a lot of people seem to have trouble with this. I've uploaded a pack with all the necessary files to setup PastaCFW/RxTools Autoboot using Cubic Ninja in the link below. The instructions are pasted below. Simply copy all files to your sd card's root and follow them to have Autoboot setup on either an n3DS or an o3DS. I have tested it on both and it boots fine every time. Megaupload folder link below. Simply download the appropriate folder and follow the instructions. CakesFW will be included tonight. If you want autoboot replace the themehax installer with the autoboot one. Hold L to boot is included as not only does it work consistently, but with Autoboot you still need to hold L to boot after the cfw initially starts. Otherwise it gets stuck into a homemenuhax loop and crashes to a flashing red screen/black screen. Packs are included for n3DS and o3DS.

My N3DS boots EmuNAND with GW and 414, and NEVER DID NINJIAHAX before, so is the turtorial applies to my situation?

I appreciate the effort, but why Pasta? It's dead, and even the developers recommend to move on to their newer rxTools efforts.
Agreed, it's totally defunct.

OP should mod his xbox one to play VHS tapes next.

Edit: That said, I downloaded the pack, so thanks OP.

can i use this with rxtools instead of pasta... or on my N3ds reinand/cakes?
Yes, the ReiNAND/RxTools/Cakes threads have builds of their launchers that work with this, though you may need to find them in the threads.
If you're feeling risky, you can use a hex editor on the "menuhax_ropbinpayload.bin" to switch the two instances of "boot.3dsx" with whatever you want, or perhaps use the boot menu turorial around here.

It boots a lot faster than cakes or rxtools, and you can do less with it. I personally don't have any use for anything else. It patches signatures out, works reliably and I honestly don't understand why the average user would want anything else.

The latest rxTools build is extremely fast to boot. Might want to give it a try. You can completely ignore the other features if you don't want them.

You can but it just is a lot easier to copy and paste these files over and have it essentially done. A complete RxTools or Cakes pack that works on either n3DS or o3DS can't be made and posted here and most people don't think to look on that ISO site. Also I did test RXTools, Cakes and PastaCFW on both o3DS and n3DS. Pasta was not only the fastest by far, but was the only one to consistently boot. But RxTools/Cakes files can be used in place of pasta in this (obviously). Then again, I suppose that isn't the point of me posting a guide.

PastaCFW v1.2.1 still has its uses.
Its easy DevMode access for those that have CN... (IE, sysUpdater, installing legit cia's or GBA roms to the Sysnand, etc, etc)
When you need a proven, bug-free way of doing this, why settle for something else?

Silly question, but whats the minimum fw that's needed for ThemeHax/HomeMenuHax? Currently on 4.5E Sysnand using MSet to boot RXTools 10.1E EmuNand.

If someone wants cakes with themehax/homemenuhax, put the files from the attached zip onto your 3ds' sdcard. You need to provide slotkeyX, firmware.bin and ctek yourself.
