This looks pretty interesting...need to find some time to go through the thread (or last few pages) and take in all the information.

Wish there was a GUI for this, just to make the process more streamlined & automated for everyone.

Hoo boy, I dun messed up.

So I deleted a buncha mIis, left two Miis (personal and a clone), changed 91 into 11 for each, restored them... and now they're not brown pants, but blue pants. Meaning the 3DS recognizes them as someone else's Miis, and therefore won't let me edit NOR use them with Streetpass Plaza.

So yeah, not gold pants, but fucking blue jeans. MFW I am dumb as rocks right now somebody help plox.

Uploading screenies of the data sections for both personal mii and clone. Kindly point me to the right row/column to change, and how do I make them editable again? Oh yeah, the highlighted parts are the parts I changed, so I changed them back to 9s instead of 1s, then re-applied fixcrc.

EDIT: NAILED IT! Goldie pants for fancy pants #1 and #2, mofos! Woot! Hehehehe...

Now all that's left is figuring out how to fix Mii Maker to Home Menu and creating that elusive QR code. Btw, figured a Mii's data starts with a [00 03 00], and lucky for me they both started at the same column, so I can identify the proper bits to change through their positions. Starting from the 03, count the first 00 as ONE, then continue counting to TWELVE. That's the one you want to change for goldie pants, then FROM THERE count to THIRTY SIX, and that's for Disable Sharing.

The same thing with blue pants happened to me. Only thing that helped me to get the gold pants was deleting all Miis, create new one and do the process again on that Mii. Then it was working.

I managed to undo the wrong edits I did and changed the correct bits. So yeah, working Streetpass now. No gold menus though. Anybody figured that one out?

I think the sparkles aren't meant to appear when viewing your own Mii in the StreetPass Plaza. They are supposed to appear only in certain games or mini-games.

I never get the lvl 5 miis and gold menu too. i think it's just normal, i did a streetpass test and the other 2DS showed me as a special mii so i'm cool with that.

Pretty sure you only get the sparkles/ gold menu if you have an extremely old version of the mii plaza. I don't know how old it has to be, but I did not have the golden menu/ sparkles show up for my mii on my mii plaza that I had updated after monster manor was released, however, I did have them both on a mii plaza that I had never once updated.

Can this be done on the latest homebrew? Also I cant turn off sharing on my Mii, how important is it that sharing is turned off?

O_O really that's odd. What 3ds console are you on?

Edit: The sparkles effect only appear in plaza gate and some mii plaza games. Not sure what happens if I StreetPass a new 3ds tho

Wait, are you referring the effect taking place on your own 3DS, or when your Mii appears on someone else's 3DS?

Massive thanks for this, managed to get the gold pants, but yes in Mii Maker and Mii Plaza it doesn't shine, but I had to reload the mii by selecting another then back to the first to make the gold pants appear.

You can create another mii that looks like you and has the same name as you, the Plaza doesn't bug out if you have more than two characters with the same name. Then use that mii just for the street pass purpose. Since the only purpose for the gold pants is for mii Plaza anyways.

Heads up though, you can only use Mii that has been made by you on that console/NNID. You can't select QR or sent Mii for Mii Plaza.

You can still turn it fancy pants. I know I did mine. Although for some reason my personal Mii somehow reverted to browny pants, it's alright because I still have one that's an exact duplicate but fancy pants, and my Streetpass Mii will remain fancy pants until I change that Mii.
