Hello,
I have an Old 3DS XL on SysNAND firmware version 4.3.0-10U.
I formatted the EmuNAND from the Gateway Launcher, then I booted into Classic Mode since I don't have the Gateway3DS yet (arriving tomorrow afternoon). I went to System Settings, checked if it said GW3D instead of Ver. It said exactly GW3D 4.3.0-10U. So, I thought everything was OK. I switched on Wireless Communications, went to System Update and it updated like normal. It booted back into SysNAND 4.3 (I could tell by the top bar layout of the HOME Menu on the bottom screen). So, I went to System Settings, went over to Profile, and tapped DS Profile. I tried booting into Classic Mode but then the screen stays blank. I waited 5 minutes, and still, nothing. I tried again, and still, NOTHING. So, I formatted my SD card, formatted EmuNAND, and did that all over again. Still did not work. Can someone please help me?

This is REALLY frustrating.

Thanks,
Andrew21

You are using old version of Gateway launcher, which doesn't support latest emuNAND. The latest version of Gateway launcher requires Gateway cart to boot into Classic Mode. If you want to use emuNAND on your 3DS, just use Gateway launcher to create your emuNAND partition, then use rxTools or CakesFW to boot.

So when I get my Gateway 3DS tomorrow, I will be able to boot into Classic Mode with no problems, or will I have to use rxTools permanently? rxTools requires Internet Access on sysNAND, which I don't really want to do, and I can't find enough info on CakesFW.

Yes. Once you get your Gateway, you can boot into Classic Mode with latest emuNAND. On 4.x 3DS, you can use rxTools and CakesFW with DS Profile exploit, just like Gateway.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am using the DS Profile exploit. Here's what I've learned (Correct me if necessary):
So, I can boot into Classic Mode with the latest 9.9.0-26U emuNAND from the Gateway Launcher IF I have the Gateway Red Card with 4.3.0-10U firmware using the DS Profile Exploit?

Thanks,
Andrew21

Yes. You have to update Launcher.dat to the latest version, otherwise 9.9.0-26U emuNAND will not work.
