How can I contact the guy?
I want to contact him to help him debug the Four Swords.nds file I have so that it can run perfectly with NO$GBA.
The menus display correctly, it is until you reach the main gampley that textures are all corrupted and only the characters can be seen from all the garbled mess.

I'd say just to post on ngemu and talk with him about it. Do be aware that he prefers a more technical bug report though as mentioned on his site.

The problem is martin korth does his work on a win98 PC, so it isn't surprising that things that would work on his machine won't on ours. :/
We've been really lucky up to this point.
He can't even visit https sites his computer is so old. He needs more donations badly.

If I had a job I'd gladly donate as his work benefits the whole community. I'm surprised he doesn't get more as is.

Supporting the no$gba project
If somebody would like to help me on the nocash project, here's a list of some things that'd be useful to me, for research purposes:
- windows xp, english version (cdrom and licence/sticker)
- gba infra-red adapter
- gba wifi adapter
- commodore amiga 500 home computer (for emulating it whenever having time to do that)
- bug reports (detailed info please: say what does not work in which situations)

If he can get his hands on an XP Media Center Edition CD or ISO, I do know of a key for it that is legit...

I try to PM him on iso, but think he just whats a genuine CD can't blame him really , although dought his old PC good a running better games even like NDS, maybe good video card too + ram

EDIT: maybe an older but yet better Laptop.

He need CD + key not just KEY

------------

EDIT: he seams to be almost cracking the wifi too :)

He looking for more help

Could anybody jump in and help making a wifi ROMdumping tool? Transfer via wifi would be fine. Or people with DSi exploits with write-access to SD carts could also dump it that way. I could supply info on how to read the ROM via SDIO (it's not too difficult). The ROM would be quite interesting for understanding the boot process (the firmware upload), and probably also for understanding DSi wifi access (and same for 3DS which probably having a similar atheros chip).

Oh, and one correction on the atheros I/O map: It looks as if the "BB" registers are located at 29800h and up (not at 9800h).

maybe his next release might be big!

That's weird, I think after X amount of posts, posts no longer are moderated as I don't have that. The SM64 issue is emulator-related and very hard to neutralize, Martin/nocash is aware of it as I even ran debug tests in the debug build and posted results, but who knows when it will be fixed.

As I mention the sound patch ers / noise reducer don't seam to be patching the no$gba memory, it's got to be out side of the memory , but a martin mention it's not a proper fix as he likes to do this, rather have a temp fix in the mean time by patch ers .

they has to be a way to fix the a.exe for newer version of no$gba ...

https://gbatemp.net/threads/no-gba-help-noise-remover.256242/

a.exe no$gba 2.6a sound reducer attached .

I'm confused, what does that file do exactly? And I don't get how Desmume does it right, couldn't he just look at the code to see how it's done since it's open source anyways?

Re-fresh the audio each time it jumps from one page to the next , muffing the bad sound to clear, although it's not 100% as now and then the audio can be the same .

If a 2.8 debugger of that could happen that'd be great. It's the one version that supports DSiWare and still has intact touch response.

You need debugger 2.8 ?

I try and keep his older versions - https://gbatemp.net/threads/no-gba-v2-8-released-with-dsi-emulation.380462/

Many people link to his site, and when he brings a new version out the old ones gone .

I try to put his Archive here at my host - https://mega.co.nz/#F!wIw0hIAT!gG6ZWgmXLX7galHP3wi9bg

Many are still M.I.A , if you have any versions that are missing in the collection ?, PM them to me and I'll add them to my MEGA host! .

Hm, I tried your modified 2.8 and the sound is still shitty. I wonder if it's a complete emulation issue then.

I nether fixed the sound issues as I don't know what a.exe was patching in the no$gba 2.6a , OllyDBG had many memory locations far too many .

I use Hxd portable and virtual ram in hex, hexcmp use to compare memory , and last OllyDBG for fixing the EX5 hooking addresses each time a new version was out .

Attached file if you need them + hxd and hexcmp full .

Ah, I wouldn't know how the patching thing works, so I'll probably wait on it.
