I finally jumped on downgrading MSET to 6.x (I see no reason to ever use 4.x over 6.x,Especially for 2DS owners)

For people who want an NNID linked, link one with then downgrade. The NNID will still function even if the settings app is no longer aware of it.

The project is open source too, the browser exploit code isn't going anywhere. It can be rehosted if rxtools.net goes down.

I personally use this on my flashair. I host the rxtools web exploit from my 3ds.

With AGB_FIRM out there now, I'm assuming Gateway is working to get it working with GW Mode too. The other features I can't speak for as I don't really use them, but as long as that happens I'll be a happy camper.

And renewing domain names is not that costly. The site itself is fairly lightweight and his hosted code files can't take up that much space either. I imagine the domain will be up for at least one more year, with more as a possibility. Not sure about his web server, but if it's hosted with the domain provider then that makes it really easy to keep up.

I guess we could try to host a launch web page as a github site, that way if the official Rxtools website goes down, there should still be the github site (I don't really see github going away any time soon, so it should be kinda future-proof)

maybe not the official site. but i think the exploit itself will last a long time with things like mirrors existing. who knows, by the time we have to worry about the site dying off there might be a noffline exploit released for 9.3+. That's just wishful thinking tho.

- Inject FBI on your sysnand
- Use it to install FBI 1.4.2 or devmenu_2x on your synand
- Install the 6.X mset on your sysnand with FBI or devmenu.

NOTE: these are for Old 3DS, not New 3DS.

After looking at some other forum posts, I've become aware of an android app called 3ds x loader. I have an old android phone that I don't use anymore and it worked with that. It uses the personal hotspot function to act as a server for the file. Tested and worked.

+1 for 3DS X-Loader. I use it too, since I have my phone with me all the time anyway.

The OP is dumb, does anything (on the net) last forever? Set up your own webserver or deal with the fact that you're dependent on someone else's webserver.

Also, if you really want help, then just ask, how do I set up my own webserver... but I doubt you will find much help if you can't figure it out on your own because this isn't a webserver forum.

Actually, running anything in TWL breaks MSET, not the other way around
