Normally this isn't an issue, however I have hit a snag. I bought Fallout 3 GotY and NV Ultimate (I like my DLCs) when they came out but never bothered with opening the packs since I just pirate them anyway. This worked fine and I enjoyed a nocd/nosteam experience until about two weeks ago.
Then I decided to play them again since Fallout 4 is coming and I wanted to walk through the whole series. I got 1 and 2 on GOG before they lost the rights, so that was simple enough. Then I decided to put 3 and NV together for a richer experience, using tale of two wastelands. Unfortunately, the mod authors are AP freaks so I finally had to break the seal on both my 3 and NV copies. 3 because I didn't have an original exe and NV because again, I didn't have an original exe.
So I've been playing for the last two weeks just fine, however Windows 10 comes out in a few days and I HATE STEAM. So, does any one know about how to go about cracking NVSE to work with the Fallout: New Vegas - Ultimate Edition crack on game copy world?
It's the only thing standing between me and No steam bliss.
Side Note: I give ttw a 7/10. While it is fun, some of the mobs are packing heat that is way above their pay grade. Some super mutants have flame lobbers and it's making some areas that were easy in 3, downright scary in NV. Also the prices are all over the place, with stimpacks costing 100 caps each where as they where 10 in 3. Then there is the armor system. I stood point blank range and unload three clips of 5.56 AP ammo into a super mutant overseer's head with a luck of 10 and barely scratched him. Otherwise, it fun and with a level cap remover + multirank perk pack and wasteland mastery, it's down right fun when I don't hit a beef gate. I think my first deathclaw is gonna make me poop my pants at this rate.
Edit: There is a PC section. I didn't see it the first time. Can a mod move this post to the right section?
