Hacking Should I upgrade my N3DS XL to 9.9?

hey, I recently got a new 3ds xl and it's on 9.4.
I really want to update it to access the eshop and all that but i'm afraid that if a new cfw will come out for versions >= 9.3 it will not be compatible with 9.9.
what should I do?

That's always possible. We haven't had homebrew loading in awhile until 9.9. If you get a hardmod you could backup your current firmware then upgrade to 9.9.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone that can hardmod my 3ds so I can't really backup my firmware.

I'm from Israel, and the 3ds is very unpopular here.

I know that my chances are higher on a lower version but I also want to system transfer from my old 3ds and update my retail games.
