Hardware Yet Another "Rate My Build"

My PC is 5 years old now and I have the money to get a new one. My budget was $1000, though I ended up going above that a little bit. The total price is $1,093.48. Here are the components:

What do you think? I was thinking about waiting for Skylake, but that got delayed for 6 months, plus I heard they don't come with coolers.

Looks pretty decent actually. But I'd stay away from Gigabyte mobo's. Buy yourself an Asus or Asrock mobo.

Sure, theyre not reliable. Ive had only troubles with that brand. The best mobos are from ASUS and ASRock.

This one in particular is pretty decent. I own it with the 4690k and I was able to go up to 4.4 only on air!

the one you choose has good reviews too, I don't see any reason to change

I'm still seeing Asrock boards with plenty of problems, although they're the only ones trying to innovate so they deserve recognition. Haven't had any problems with the few Gigabyte boards I've worked with, although Asus remain my favourite.

Back to the point, the build looks solid to me. It'll probably last a good 5-7 years. Insert obligatory <needs a copy of Windows> comment here.

What does it matter if they don't come with a cooler if you are buying a separate one anyway?
Looks fine to me. Should handle everything except 4K gaming well.

Indeed, I have heard ASRock mobos tend to have a lot of issues.
Personally I'd go with Asus.

The i5-4690K's pretty sweet. Even when Skylake comes out, it should still hold its own. I'd say you upgrade to the generation that comes after Skylake.
